3. Prodotto finitoview

The AmScope PZ200BB is a sophisticated polarizing binocular microscope. Key components include:

  • Siedentopf Binocular Head: Allows for interpupillary distance adjustment without changing tube length, reducing eye strain. Features 45-degree inclination and 360-degree rotation.
  • Oculari: Includes WF10x and WF20x widefield eyepieces for various magnifications.
  • Nasello: Forward-facing triple nosepiece with 4x, 10x, and 40xS DIN strain-free plan achromatic objectives, optimized for polarized light. The 40xS objective is spring-loaded to prevent slide damage.
  • Round Graduated Stage: 160mm diameter, 360-degree rotation with 1-degree increments and vernier scale for precise measurements. Equipped with detachable slide clips.
  • Sistema di illuminazione: Features both polarizing and brightfield illumination. Transmitted 20W halogen illumination with rheostat control for light intensity.
  • Bertrand Lens: Built-in, focusable, and mounted on a rotatable disc with centering controls, essential for conoscopic observation.
  • Condensatore Abbe: 1.25 NA Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm, adjustable via rack-and-pinion for optimal illumination.
  • Sistema di messa a fuoco: Nested coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs with tension adjustment and an adjustable lock ring stopper to protect slides and objectives.

4. Impostazione

  1. Disimballaggio: Rimuovere con cautela tutti i componenti dall'imballaggio. Conservare l'imballaggio originale per eventuali trasporti o rimessaggio futuri.
  2. Posizionamento: Place the microscope on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, dust, and vibrations.
  3. Collegamento elettrico: Connect the power cord to the microscope's power input and then to a standard 110V AC outlet.
  4. Installazione dell'oculare: Insert the desired pair of eyepieces (WF10x or WF20x) into the binocular tubes.
  5. Regolazione della distanza interpupillare: While looking through the eyepieces, adjust the distance between the two eyepiece tubes until a single, clear circular field of view viene osservato.
  6. Regolazione diottrica: If your eyes have different strengths, use the diopter adjustment ring on one of the eyepiece tubes (usually the left one) to compensate. Focus on a specimen with your right eye (left eye closed), then close your right eye and adjust the diopter ring until the image is sharp for your left eye.

5. Istruzioni per l'uso

5.1 Funzionamento di base

  1. Accensione: Accendere l'interruttore di alimentazione principale.
  2. Intensità della luce: Adjust the rheostat control to set the desired brightness of the halogen illumination.
  3. Posizionamento del campione: Posizionare il vetrino preparato sul supporto meccanicotage and secure it with the slide clips.
  4. Selezione oggettiva: Rotate the nosepiece to select the lowest power objective (e.g., 4x). Ensure it clicks into place.
  5. Messa a fuoco:
    • Utilizzare il manopola di messa a fuoco grossolana per mettere a fuoco approssimativamente il campione.
    • Utilizzare il manopola di messa a fuoco fine for precise focusing.
    • The adjustable lock ring stopper can be set to limit the upward travel of the stage, protecting slides and objectives.
  6. Condenser and Iris Diaphragm: Adjust the Abbe condenser's height using its rack-and-pinion control and open/close the iris diaphragm to optimize contrast and resolution for the current objective.
  7. Magnification Change: Rotate the nosepiece to a higher power objective. Minor adjustments with the fine focus knob may be needed.

5.2 Polarizing Operation

The PZ200BB is designed for both brightfield and polarizing microscopy. To engage polarizing features:

  1. Polarizer Insertion: Insert the polarizer into its designated slot below the condenser.
  2. Analyzer Insertion: The analyzer is built into the midist head and can be engaged or removed from the optical path via a selection knob.
  3. Bertrand Lens: Engage the built-in Bertrand lens by rotating its disc. Use the centering controls to align it. The Bertrand lens is crucial for observing interference figures (conoscopic observation) of anisotropic materials. It can be rotated 90 degrees with 1-degree graduations.
  4. Stage Rotation: The round stage can be rotated 360 degrees. Use the 1-degree graduations and the vernier scale (6 minutes of arc resolution) for precise retardation measurements.
  5. Filtri colore: Experiment with the blue and green color filters to enhance contrast or specific features under polarized light.

To switch back to brightfield microscopy, ensure the polarizer, analyzer, and Bertrand lens are disengaged or removed from the optical path.

6. Manutenzione

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your microscope.

  • Copertura antipolvere: Always use the provided dust cover when the microscope is not in use to protect it from dust and debris.
  • Pulizia delle lenti: Use only specialized lens cleaning solution and lens paper or a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning optical surfaces. Avoid touching lenses with bare fingers.
  • Pulizia generale: Pulisci il corpo del microscopio con un panno morbido eamp stoffa. Evitare l'uso di prodotti chimici aggressivi o detergenti abrasivi.
  • Sostituzione della lampadina: If the illumination bulb burns out, replace it with a spare 6V/20W halogen bulb. Refer to the instructions for accessing the bulb housing. Always unplug the microscope before replacing bulbs.
  • Sostituzione fusibile: If the microscope does not power on, check the fuse. Replace it with a spare fuse of the correct rating if necessary. Always unplug the microscope before replacing fuses.
  • Magazzinaggio: Store the microscope in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, remove eyepieces and objectives and store them in sealed containers with desiccant to prevent fungal growth.

7. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

If you encounter issues with your microscope, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Nessuna illuminazione:
    • Controllare che il cavo di alimentazione sia collegato saldamente.
    • Assicurarsi che l'interruttore di alimentazione sia su ON.
    • Adjust the rheostat to increase brightness.
    • Check and replace the halogen bulb if burnt out.
    • Controllare e sostituire il fusibile se bruciato.
  • Image is Blurry/Cannot Focus:
    • Ensure the objective lens is clicked firmly into place.
    • Regolare le manopole di messa a fuoco grossolana e fine.
    • Check if the slide is placed correctly on the stage.
    • Clean objective and eyepiece lenses if dirty.
    • Adjust interpupillary distance and diopter setting.
  • Poor Contrast/Resolution:
    • Adjust the Abbe condenser height.
    • Adjust the iris diaphragm opening.
    • Ensure the correct illumination type (brightfield/polarizing) is selected for your observation.
  • No Polarizing Effect:
    • Ensure the polarizer is inserted correctly.
    • Ensure the analyzer is engaged in the optical path.
