Impostare

1. Installazione della batteria

The BACtrack Keychain Breathalyzer requires one AAA battery for operation. The battery is typically included in the package.

2. Attaching a Mouthpiece

For hygienic and accurate testing, it is recommended to use a fresh mouthpiece for each test, especially when sharing the device.

1. Identify the mouthpiece slot on the top of the breathalyzer.
2. Gently push one of the provided mouthpieces into the slot until it is firmly seated.
3. The mouthpiece can be folded out for use and folded back in for storage.

Esecuzione di un test

1. Wait 15-20 Minutes: Before testing, wait at least 15-20 minutes after eating, drinking, or smoking. This allows any residual alcohol in your mouth to dissipate, ensuring an accurate sample from your lungs.
2. Accensione: Press and hold the power button located on the front of the device. The device will emit a short beep and begin a warm-up countdown.
3. Preparatevi a far saltare in aria: Once the countdown reaches zero, the display will show "BLOW" and emit another beep. This indicates the device is ready for a breath samplui.
4. Provide Breath Sampon: Take a deep breath and blow steadily and continuously into the mouthpiece for approximately 5 seconds, or until you hear a click sound. Ensure a consistent airflow.
5. View Risultati: After a few seconds, your estimated Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) will be displayed on the screen. The result will remain on the screen for several seconds before the device automatically powers off.

Important Testing Considerations

• Do not test immediately after consuming alcohol, as this can lead to inaccurate high readings due to mouth alcohol.
• Avoid testing in areas with strong fumes, smoke, or other airborne contaminants.
• Allow at least 2-3 minutes between consecutive tests to ensure sensor accuracy and battery life.
• The device is designed for personal use and should not be used to determine fitness to drive or operate machinery.

Manutenzione

Pulizia del dispositivo

• Wipe the exterior of the breathalyzer with a soft, damp stoffa. Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi né immergere il dispositivo in acqua.
• Mouthpieces can be cleaned with warm, soapy water and air-dried, or replaced with new ones for optimal hygiene.
