4. Configurazione e connessione

Follow these steps to set up and connect your CTEK MXS 5.0 charger:

1. Preparare la batteria: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free from corrosion. If the battery has vent caps, ensure they are securely in place.
2. Collegamento alla batteria:
   • Per la batteria clamps: Connect the red (+) clamp al terminale positivo della batteria e al polo nero (-)amp to the negative battery terminal or a good chassis ground point away from the battery.
   • For eyelet connectors: Permanently attach the eyelets to the battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative) and then connect the charger's output cable to the eyelet connector.

   The charger is reverse polarity protected, but always double-check connections.

The MXS 5.0 automatically progresses through these steps:

1. FASE 1: DESOLFAZIONE - Removes sulphate from the lead plates to restore battery capacity.
2. FASE 2: AVVIO SOFT - Tests if the battery can accept charge. Prevents charging a defective battery.
3. PASSO 3: BULK - Charges with maximum current until approximately 80% capacity.
4. FASE 4: ASSORBIMENTO - Charges with decreasing corrente al 100% della capacità.
5. FASE 5: ANALIZZARE - Tests if the battery can hold charge. If not, the battery may be faulty.
6. STEP 6: RECOND (Optional) - Reconditioning mode for deeply discharged batteries.

8. STEP 8: PULSE - Maintains the battery at 95-100% capacity. The charger monitors the battery voltage and gives a pulse when needed.
