Introduzione

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Avaya 1408 Digital Deskphone. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to maximize your user experience.

Impostare

1. Disimballaggio del telefono

2. Assemblaggio del supporto da scrivania

Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset and the other end to the port labeled with a handset icon on the side of the phone base.

4. Connecting to the Network and Power

The Avaya 1408 Digital Deskphone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). If your network switch provides PoE, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the phone and the other end to a PoE-enabled network port. The phone will power on automatically.

If PoE is not available, an external power supply (not included) is required. Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port and the external power supply to the power port on the phone, then plug the power supply into a wall outlet.

Effettuare una chiamata

Digital Answering System / Voicemail

The phone features a digital answering system with a recording capacity of up to 18 minutes. Access voicemail by pressing the Messaggio button or following your system administrator's instructions.

Cannot Hear or Be Heard During a Call
