- Scollegare l'alimentazione prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia.
- Assicurarsi che tutti i collegamenti elettrici siano impermeabili e protetti dall'umidità.
- Do not operate the filter if any part is damaged, especially the power cord or UV lamp.
- Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini.
- Install the filter on a stable, level surface.
- Per una corretta installazione, fare riferimento alle normative elettriche locali.
3. Componenti finitiview
The Laguna PF3000 filter unit consists of several key components:
- Alloggiamento del filtro: The main cylindrical body.
- UVC-Head: Top section containing the UV-C lamp e collegamenti elettrici.
- Maniglie per la pulizia: Ergonomically designed handles for activating the backwash system.
- Diverter Valve: Controls water flow for filtration or backwash.
- Connessioni ingresso/uscita: For connecting hoses to the pond pump and returning filtered water.
- Mechanical Filter Pads: Durable foam pads for initial debris removal.
- Bio-Lava Rock Media: Provides surface area for beneficial bacteria.
- UV-C Lamp: 24-watt lamp for algae control.
4. Configurazione e installazione
The PF3000 is designed to work with a solids handling pump, such as the Laguna Max-Flo 2000. Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Posizionamento: Place the filter on a stable, level surface near your pond. Ensure it is easily accessible for maintenance.
- Collegamento della pompa: Connect the outlet of your pond pump to the water inlet of the PF3000 filter using appropriate hosing and clamps.
- Connecting the Return Line: Connect a hose from the filter's water outlet back to your pond, ensuring the filtered water returns efficiently.
- Linea di controlavaggio: Connect a hose to the backwash outlet. This hose should direct dirty water away from the pond, for example, to a garden bed or drain.
- Collegamento elettrico: Ensure the UVC-Head is securely attached. Connect the power cord to a GFCI-protected outdoor electrical outlet.
- Primerizzazione: Once all connections are secure, turn on your pond pump to allow water to fill the filter. Check for leaks.
5. Istruzioni per l'uso
Once installed and primed, the Laguna PF3000 operates continuously to filter your pond water.
- Avvio iniziale: After connecting power, the UV-C lamp will activate, and water will begin flowing through the filter.
- Filtration Mode: In normal operation, the diverter valve should be set to the "Filtration" position, allowing water to pass through the mechanical and biological media, and past the UV-C lamp before returning to the pond.
- Indicatore UV: The UVC-Head includes an indicator to confirm the UV lamp funziona.
6. Manutenzione
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your filter. Always disconnect power before performing any internal maintenance.
6.1. Backwash Cleaning System
The patented backwash system allows for easy cleaning of the mechanical filter pads without opening the unit.
- Preparare: Ensure the backwash hose is directed to a suitable waste area.
- Switch Valve: Turn the diverter valve to the "Backwash" position.
- Attiva la pulizia: Repeatedly push and pull the cleaning handles to agitate the filter foams and dislodge trapped debris.
- Monitorare: Observe the water flowing from the backwash outlet. Continue cleaning until the water runs clear.
- Return to Filtration: Once clean, return the diverter valve to the "Filtration" position.
6.2.UV-C Lamp Sostituzione
La lampada UV-Camp should be replaced annually to maintain effective algae control.
- Scollegare l'alimentazione: Scollegare il filtro dalla presa elettrica.

- Sostituisci Lamp: Gently remove the old UV-C lamp and insert a new 24-watt UV-C lampEvitare di toccare il vetro a mani nude.
- Rimontare: Carefully place the UVC-Head back onto the filter housing and secure it with the screws.
- Ricollegare l'alimentazione: Plug the filter back into the electrical outlet.
6.3. Pulizia profonda
Periodically, a more thorough cleaning of the filter pads and Bio-Lava rock may be required.
- Scollegare l'alimentazione: Unplug the filter.
- Smontare: Remove the UVC-Head and then the top section of the filter.
- Supporti puliti: Remove the mechanical filter pads and Bio-Lava rock. Rinse them thoroughly with pond water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria) to remove accumulated sludge.
- Alloggi puliti: Clean the inside of the filter housing.
- Rimontare: Place the media back into the filter, ensuring correct orientation of the pads. Reassemble the filter in reverse order.
