5. Installazione

Before proceeding, ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker. This timer switch is designed for both single-pole and 3-way applications. A neutral wire is required.

5.1 Single-Pole Installation

Connect the wires as shown in the diagram. Ensure the blue wire is twisted with a wire nut if not used in a 3-way setup. The neutral wire must be connected.

5.2 3-Way Installation

For 3-way setups, connect the blue wire to the 3-way wire. Follow the diagram carefully. The neutral wire must be connected.

5.3 Installazione fisica

  1. After wiring, carefully place the timer into the wall box, ensuring no wires are pinched. The LCD screen should be at the top.
  2. Securely fasten the timer to the wall box using the provided screws.
  3. Attach the wall plate around the timer.

6. Impostazione

6.1 Accensione iniziale e ripristino

  1. After restoring power, open the cover on the timer.
  2. Position the SYSTEM switch (located behind the cover) to the 'ON' position.
  3. Press the 'Reset' button (R) with a small pointed object (e.g., a pen tip) to clear all previous settings. The display will show '12:00 AM'.

6.2 Impostazione dell'ora corrente

  1. Press the 'Prog' button once. The 'CLK' icon will appear on the display.
  2. Press the 'Day' button to select the current day of the week.
  3. Press the 'Hour' button to set the current hour. Pay attention to AM/PM indicators.
  4. Press the 'Min' button to set the current minute.
  5. Wait approximately 6 seconds, and the time will be automatically saved.

6.3 Daylight Saving Time (DST) Setting

  • Locate the DST icon (sun symbol) above the 'Hour' button.
  • Press and hold the 'Hour' button for approximately 4 seconds. The clock will adjust by one hour, and the 'DST' icon will appear on the display, indicating DST is active.
  • Repeat the process to deactivate DST.

6.4 Random Security Mode

The Random Security Mode can be used to deter intruders by turning lights ON/OFF at random intervals while you are away.

  • Locate the 'RND' icon (R symbol) above the 'Min' button.
  • Press and hold the 'Min' button for approximately 4 seconds to activate or deactivate Random Security Mode. The 'RND' icon will appear on the display when active.

7. Operativo

7.1 Programmazione degli eventi ON/OFF

  1. Press the 'Prog' button twice to enter event setup. The display will show '1 ON' and 'PROG'.
  2. Press the 'Day' button to select the desired day(s) for this program. You can select individual days or preset combinations.
  3. Use the 'Hour' and 'Min' buttons to set the desired ON time. Pay attention to AM/PM.
  4. Press the 'Prog' button once to save the ON time. The display will now show '1 OFF' and 'PROG'.
  5. Use the 'Hour' and 'Min' buttons to set the desired OFF time.
  6. Press the 'Prog' button once to save the OFF time and move to the next program ('2 ON').
  7. Repeat steps 2-6 for additional programs.
  8. To exit programming, press the 'Manual' button or wait approximately 6 seconds for the timer to return to the clock display.

7.2 Riviewing, Changing, or Deleting Events

per riview programmed events, press the 'Prog' button repeatedly. It will cycle through all 18 ON/OFF events.

  • To Change an Event: Navigate to the desired event using the 'Prog' button. Then use the 'Day', 'Hour', and 'Min' buttons to adjust the settings. Press 'Prog' to save changes.
  • To Delete an Event: Navigate to the desired event using the 'Prog' button. Press the 'CLR' button once. The time and day will be replaced with dashes. Note: You must delete both the ON and OFF settings for a program to be fully removed.

7.3 Override manuale ON/OFF

The timer can operate in two modes: AUTO (timed ON/OFF) and MANUAL (manual ON/OFF).

  • With the cover closed, press the manual ON/OFF door. This will temporarily override the current program and switch the attached device ON or OFF.
  • To switch between AUTO and MANUAL modes, press and hold the manual ON/OFF door for approximately 4 seconds. The display will show 'MAN' for manual mode or 'AUTO' for automatic mode.
  • When in 'MAN' mode, the device will remain ON or OFF until manually changed again.
  • When in 'AUTO' mode, the device will follow the programmed schedule. A temporary manual override will be canceled by the next programmed event.

7.4 System ON/OFF Switch

The SYSTEM switch (located behind the cover) allows you to completely turn off the timer and the attached device.

  • Slide the SYSTEM switch to 'OFF'. The display will go blank, and the attached device will turn off.
  • All clock and program settings will remain stored even when the system is off.
  • Slide the SYSTEM switch to 'ON' to resume normal operation.

8. Manutenzione

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your BN-LINK SU101C timer switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:
