4. Configurazione e installazione

Before proceeding with the installation, ensure your computer case is compatible with ATX form factor power supplies and that you have sufficient space for cable management.

4.1 Installazione fisica

1. Preparare il caso: Turn off and unplug your computer. Open the side panel of your computer case.
2. Montare l'alimentatore: Carefully slide the Chieftec BDF-1000C PSU into the designated power supply bay in your computer case. Ensure the fan is facing the correct direction for optimal airflow (usually facing down if there's a bottom vent, or up if there isn't). Secure the PSU to the case using the provided mounting screws.
3. Collegare i cavi modulari: Identify the necessary modular cables for your system components.
   • ATX 24-pin: Connect to the motherboard's main power connector.
   • CPU 4+4-pin (EPS12V): Connect to the motherboard's CPU power connector. Modern motherboards may require an 8-pin or two 4-pin connectors.

4. Gestione dei cavi: Route the cables neatly to ensure proper airflow within the case.
5. Chiudi caso: Once all connections are secure, close the computer case.
6. Collegare l'alimentazione CA: Plug the AC power cord into the PSU's power inlet and then into a wall outlet or surge protector.

1. Accensione: Ensure all connections are secure and the AC power cord is plugged in. Flip the power switch on the back of the PSU to the "ON" (I) position.
2. Avvio del sistema: Press the power button on your computer case. The PSU fan should begin to spin, and your system should initiate the boot process.
3. Funzionamento normale: The Chieftec BDF-1000C PSU is designed for continuous operation. Its fan will adjust speed based on temperature and load to maintain optimal cooling and noise levels.
4. Spegni: To shut down your system, use the operating system's shutdown procedure. For a complete power cycle, also flip the PSU's power switch to the "OFF" (O) position and unplug the AC power cord.
