This manual provides essential information to help you set up, operate, and maintain your device, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. 3. Impostazione

3.1. Ricarica iniziale

Before first use, fully charge the iGS50E using the provided Micro USB cable. Connect the cable to the device's USB port and a standard USB power adapter or computer. A full charge typically takes less than one hour.

The iGS50E comes with two sets of handlebar mounts, allowing you to easily switch the device between two bicycles. Follow these steps to install a mount:

  1. Place a rubber pad on your handlebar at the desired mounting location.
  2. Position the mount base over the rubber pad.
  3. Secure the mount to the handlebar using the rubber O-rings. Ensure it is tight and stable.
  4. Align the iGS50E with the mount and twist it clockwise until it locks securely into place.

3.3. Accensione iniziale e acquisizione GPS

To power on the device, press and hold the power button. The device will begin searching for GPS satellites. For quick acquisition, ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Wait for the satellite icon on the display to become solid, indicating a successful GPS lock. Once locked, you can begin recording your ride by pressing the left button.

3.4. Pairing External Sensors (ANT+)

The iGS50E supports ANT+ sensors for heart rate, cadence, and speed. To pair a sensor:

  1. Ensure your ANT+ sensor is active and within range of the iGS50E.
  2. Navigate to the sensor pairing menu on the iGS50E (refer to the device's on-screen instructions or the full manual for specific menu navigation).
  3. Select the type of sensor you wish to pair. The device will scan for available ANT+ sensors.

Nota: The iGS50E is compatible with ANT+ sensors only for data collection (e.g., heart rate, cadence, speed). It is not compatible with Bluetooth-only sensors for these metrics.

3.5. Bluetooth Pairing for Data Transfer

Bluetooth connectivity on the iGS50E is primarily used for transferring ride data to your smartphone via the iGPSPORT app. Ensure your smartphone has Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

  1. Download and install the iGPSPORT app on your smartphone.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on both your iGS50E and your smartphone.
  3. Open the iGPSPORT app and follow the instructions to add and pair your iGS50E device.
  4. Once paired, you can synchronize your ride data from the device to the app. The iGPSPORT app can also be configured to automatically upload your activities to platforms like Strava.

4. Operating the iGS50E

The device features a 2.2-inch anti-glare LCD screen, designed for clear readability in various lighting conditions. It can display up to 9 data fields simultaneously. The backlight automatically activates in low-light conditions, based on the time received from GPS satellites.

Available data fields include, but are not limited to: speed, distance, ride time, total odometer, altitude, gradient, calories consumed, lap count, heart rate (with ANT+ sensor), and cadence (with ANT+ sensor). Please note that the arrangement of data fields across the three display pages is fixed and cannot be customized by the user.

4.3. Registrazione di un giro

After acquiring a GPS signal, press the Pulsante sinistro to start recording your ride. The device will track your route, speed, distance, and other selected metrics. To pause or stop recording, press the Pulsante sinistro again. You can resume a paused ride or save the completed ride from the options presented on the screen.

Your recorded ride data can be transferred in two ways:

  • Via Bluetooth to iGPSPORT App: As described in Section 3.5, synchronize your device with the iGPSPORT app on your smartphone to upload ride data.
  • Via USB Cable to PC: Connect the iGS50E to your computer using the Micro USB cable. The device will appear as a mass storage device, allowing you to access and download the ride files, which are typically in .fit format.

4.5. Sospensione e riattivazione automatiche

The iGS50E features an auto sleep and auto wake-up function to conserve battery life. When stationary for a period, the device will enter sleep mode. It will automatically wake up and resume recording when movement is detected.

5. Manutenzione

5.1. Pulizia

6.3. Data Sync Issues with App

  • Data Not Uploading to Strava: Check the settings within the iGPSPORT app to ensure the automatic upload feature to Strava is enabled and your Strava account is correctly linked.
