4. Configurazione e installazione

4.1. Preparation of Materials and Tools

Before beginning the wiring process, ensure you have the following tools and materials:

  • DALY BMS unit
  • Balance wires (sampling cable)
  • Ceramic scissors (insulated, for cutting wires)
  • Detection board (for verifying wiring)
  • Multimeter (for monitoring voltagè)
  • Soldering iron and solder (recommended temperature: 420°C; for novices: 350°C)
  • Battery pack (e.g., 10-string ternary battery or 10-string LiFePo4 battery)

4.2. L'ampling Point Determination

Accurate identification of sampling points on your battery pack is crucial for correct BMS operation. The sampling points correspond to the positive and negative terminals of each cell in the series.

  • Il primo sampling point (B-) is the total negative electrode of the battery pack.
  • Subsequent sampling points (B1, B2, B3, etc.) are the connection points between the negative electrode of one cell and the positive electrode of the adjacent cell in series.
  • Gli ultimi sampling point (B+) is the total positive electrode of the battery pack.

Importante: Before connecting the BMS, verify each cell's voltage. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between consecutive sampling points. Each measurement should correspond to the voltage of a single cell (e.g., ~3.2V for LiFePo4). The total voltage across B- and B+ should be the sum of all cell voltages.

4.3. Passaggi di cablaggio

Follow these steps carefully to wire your DALY Smart BMS:

  1. Preparare il pacco batteria: Ensure your battery cells are securely assembled. Apply double-sided adhesive to fix the balance wires along the battery pack for neatness and security.
  2. Connect B- (Total Negative): Connect the black wire of the sampling cable (B0) to the total negative terminal of your battery pack.
  3. Connect B1, B2, B3... (Cell Connections): Connect the red wires of the sampling cable sequentially to the positive terminals of each cell, starting from B1 (the positive terminal of the first cell, adjacent to B-). Ensure each wire is connected to its corresponding cell's positive terminal.
  4. Connect B+ (Total Positive): The last red wire of the sampling cable should connect to the total positive terminal of the battery pack.
  5. Connessioni a saldare: Carefully solder each balance wire to its designated sampling point. Use appropriate soldering techniques and ensure strong, clean connections.
  6. Verificare il cablaggio: After soldering, use the detection board or a multimeter to re-verify all connections and voltages. Ensure all indicator lights on the detection board are on, or that multimeter readings are correct and increasing incrementally.
  7. Connect BMS: NON FARE insert the balance cable into the BMS unit until all wiring is complete and verified. Once verified, carefully plug the balance cable into the designated port on the BMS.
