6. Istruzioni per l'uso

6.1 Inizializzazione e formattazione dell'SSD

After physical installation, new SSDs typically need to be initialized and formatted before use. This process creates a partition on the drive, making it accessible to your operating system or console.

Per PC Windows:

  1. Fare clic con il pulsante destro del mouse sul pulsante Start e selezionare "Gestione disco".
  2. Locate your new SSD (it will likely appear as "Unallocated" space).
  3. Right-click on the unallocated space and select "Initialize Disk". Choose GPT (GUID Partition Table) for modern systems.
  4. Right-click the unallocated space again and select "New Simple Volume". Follow the wizard to format the drive (NTFS recommended).

Per PlayStation 5:

  1. After powering on your PS5, a message will appear prompting you to format the M.2 SSD.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to format the drive. Note that all data on the SSD will be deleted during this process.
  3. The PS5 will display the read speed of your M.2 SSD after formatting.

6.2 Trasferimento e utilizzo dei dati

Once formatted, your XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade SSD is ready for use. You can transfer files, install games, or use it as a primary boot drive. For optimal performance, ensure your system's drivers are up to date.

  • Monitorare la salute: Use SSD monitoring tools (e.g., ADATA SSD Toolbox) to check the health and temperature of your drive.
  • Garantire un raffreddamento adeguato: The integrated heatsink helps manage heat. Ensure adequate airflow within your system to prevent overheating, especially during intensive use.
  • Backup regolari: While SSDs are reliable, regular data backups are always recommended to prevent data loss.

8. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

  • SSD non rilevato:

Ensure the SSD is correctly seated in the M.2 slot. Check your system's BIOS/UEFI settings to confirm the M.2 slot is enabled. For new SSDs, ensure it has been initialized and formatted in Disk Management (Windows) or through the PS5 system settings.

  • Lower Than Advertised Speed:

Verify your motherboard or console supports PCIe Gen4 x4. Older systems or incorrect BIOS settings may limit performance. Ensure proper cooling to prevent thermal throttling. Actual speeds may vary based on system configuration and workload.

  • Drive Appears Smaller Than Advertised Capacity:

Advertised capacity uses 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = 1 trillion bytes. Actual usable capacity may be less depending on the operating system's calculation method and reserved space.
