4. Istruzioni per l'uso

The PQWT L3000 offers two primary detection modes: General Detection and Locating Mode.

4.1. General Detection (Outdoor)

General Detection is primarily used for checking large outdoor pipeline areas for water leakage.

  1. Enter Outdoor Mode: On the host machine, click to enter the "Outdoor" mode.
  2. Select Soil/Pipe Type: Select the soil texture (e.g., "Hard") and pipe material (e.g., "Metal") according to your detecting environment.
  3. Start General Detection: Click "General Detection" to enter the interface.
  4. Sensore di posizione: Place the sensor above the suspected pipe area.
  5. Receive Sound: Turn on the knob switch to receive sound through the headphones.
  6. Observe Spectrum: Listen to the volume and observe the spectrum change on the screen. Move the sensor forward, detecting points in the same way.
  7. Identify Leakage Area: When the spectrum on the instrument screen is high and the sound in the headset is significantly increased, the area can be identified as a suspected leakage area and marked.

Video: This video demonstrates the General Detection process for outdoor pipelines, including selecting parameters, placing the sensor, and interpreting the spectrum display to identify potential leak areas. (Relevant segment: 0:38 - 1:50)

4.2. Locating Mode (Outdoor)

Locating Mode is used to pinpoint leak points within suspected leakage areas.

  1. Enter Locating Mode: On the host machine, click to enter the "Locating" mode.
  2. Rilevamento avvio: In the suspected leakage area, start detection from the first point.
  3. Click Spectrum Bar: Click any position in the spectrum bar. The signal value will be displayed on the top of the spectrum bar. The thin bar represents ambient noise, while the thick bar represents underground sound.
  4. Lock Stable Signal: After the thick bar is stable, click again any position in the spectrum bar to lock it. The signal value changes from red to black, indicating the detection at that point is completed.
  5. Compare Points: Use the same method to compare different points in this area. The detection point with the highest thick spectrum bar and the largest signal value is the suspected leaking point.
  6. Esporta dati: Detection reports in locating mode can be stored after clicking the "Export" button and connecting to a computer.

Video: This video demonstrates the Locating Mode for outdoor pipelines, showing how to identify and compare signal values across multiple points to pinpoint the exact leak location. (Relevant segment: 1:50 - 3:17)

4.3. General Detection (Indoor)

General Detection is used for checking large indoor pipeline areas for water leakage.

  1. Enter Indoor Mode: On the host machine, click the "Indoor" icon, then choose "General Detection".
  2. Receive Sound: Turn on the knob switch to receive sound through the headphones.
  3. Observe Spectrum: Listen to the volume and observe the spectrum change on the screen. Move the sensor forward, detecting points in the same way.
  4. Identify Leakage Area: When the spectrum on the instrument screen is high and the sound in the headset is significantly increased, the area can be identified as a suspected leakage area and marked.

Video: This video demonstrates the General Detection process for indoor pipelines, including selecting indoor mode, placing the sensor, and interpreting the spectrum display to identify potential leak areas. (Relevant segment: 3:43 - 4:58)

4.4. Locating Mode (Indoor)

Locating Mode is used to pinpoint leak points within suspected indoor leakage areas.

  1. Enter Locating Mode: On the host machine, click to enter the "Locating" mode.
  2. Rilevamento avvio: In the suspected leakage area, click any position in the spectrum bar.
  3. Lock Stable Signal: After the thick bar is stable, click again any position in the spectrum bar to lock it. The detection point with the highest thick spectrum bar and the largest signal value is the suspected leaking point.

Video: This video demonstrates the Locating Mode for indoor pipelines, showing how to identify and compare signal values across multiple points to pinpoint the exact leak location. (Relevant segment: 4:58 - 5:43)
