Follow these steps to set up your xTool M1 for first use:

4.1 Unboxing and Riser Base Installation

The xTool M1 may come with an optional Riser Base for increased working height and compatibility with the rotary attachment. If you have the Riser Base, follow these steps:

  1. Open the outer box and carefully remove the accessories and the riser base.
  2. Remove the screws on the baseplate of the M1 unit and place the removed screws into the handles on the baseplate.
  3. Place the xTool M1 unit onto the riser base. The riser base also provides storage for small items.

  1. Locate and remove the two shipping stoppers (often yellow stickers) that secure the laser module.
  2. Gently pull the gantry (the moving bar holding the laser module) forward.

  4. Install the laser module by aligning its guide pin with the slot on the gantry and plugging in the necessary cords (laser and air assist). Secure it with the provided screws.

5.2 Processing Cylindrical Objects with RA2 Pro

For cylindrical objects, the RA2 Pro rotary attachment is required. It is included in deluxe kits or sold separately.

  1. Install the RA2 Pro onto the honeycomb panel.
  2. Connect the RA2 Pro to the Rotary Attachment port on the M1 unit.
  3. Place your cylindrical object (e.g., tumbler) onto the RA2 Pro.
  4. In the XCS software, select 'Use rotary attachment' and choose 'Roller' or 'Chuck' mode based on your object. Use the auto-measure function for precise distance settings.
  5. Adjust your design and engraving settings (power, speed, passes).
  6. Initiate the framing process to ensure correct placement, then press the button on the device to start processing.

To connect your xTool M1 to the XCS software:
