Istruzioni di montaggio

The HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 1.1m is designed for quick and easy assembly, making it almost ready-to-fly right out of the box. Most electronic components, including the ESC, motor, servos, and receiver, are pre-installed. Users primarily need to attach the wings and tail sections, and connect the necessary control linkages.

  1. Carefully unpack all components from the box, ensuring no parts are missing.
  2. Attach the main wing to the fuselage. Ensure it is securely fastened according to the provided diagrams.
  3. Install the horizontal and vertical stabilizers (tail sections). Verify that all control surfaces move freely and correctly.
  4. Connect the pushrods from the servos to the corresponding control horns on the ailerons, elevator, and rudder. Ensure there is no binding and that movements are smooth.
  5. Install the landing gear. The robust tricycle landing gear is designed for durability and easy ground handling.
  6. Insert your charged LiPo battery into the designated compartment and secure it.
  7. Perform a pre-flight check as detailed in the operating section to ensure all systems are functioning correctly before your first flight.

Istruzioni per l'uso

Controlli pre-volo

Prima di ogni volo, eseguire i seguenti controlli per garantire un funzionamento sicuro:

  • Controllo della batteria: Ensure the LiPo battery is fully charged and securely installed in the aircraft.
  • Controllo della superficie di controllo: Verificare che tutte le superfici di controllo (alettoni, elevatore, timone) si muovano liberamente e nella direzione corretta in risposta agli input del trasmettitore.
  • Sicurezza dell'elica: Check that the propeller is securely attached and free from any damage.
  • Transmitter Functionality: Confirm the transmitter is powered on and properly bound to the aircraft. Check battery level on the transmitter.
  • Selezione della modalità di volo: Ensure the flight mode switch is set to the desired mode (Beginner for initial flights).
  • Controllo dell'ambiente: Fly in a large, open area free from obstacles, people, and animals. Be aware of wind conditions.

SAFE® Technology and Flight Modes

The AeroScout S 2 1.1m features exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, which provides multiple flight modes to assist pilots at different skill levels and prevent over-control or crashes.

SAFE Technology Flight Modes Diagram

Image: Diagram illustrating the different flight modes provided by SAFE Technology: Beginner, Intermediate, Experienced, and Panic Recovery.

  • Modalità principiante

Pitch and bank angle limits prevent over-control, making it easier to maintain stable flight. When control sticks are released, the airplane automatically returns to level flight. Takeoffs are simplified by applying full throttle or performing a quick hand launch.

  • Modalità Intermedia

Offers more freedom in pitch and bank while still preventing over-control. This mode allows for tighter turns and controlled climbs/descents as your skills improve. Beginner mode automatically activates and returns the airplane to level flight when the airplane descends below approximately 30 feet above ground level and the sticks are released.

  • Modalità Esperto

Provides full control with no pitch or bank angle limits, allowing for advanced aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, and stall turns. This mode is for pilots who have gained confidence and proficiency.

  • Recupero di panico

If you ever lose control of the airplane in the more advanced control modes, simply switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE® technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight, providing an immediate safety net.

Manutenzione

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your HobbyZone AeroScout S 2 1.1m. While the aircraft is designed to be durable, especially for beginners, routine checks and minor repairs will keep it in optimal condition.

  • Ispezione post-volo: After each flight, visually inspect the airframe for any cracks, dents, or damage to the foam. Check the wings, fuselage, and tail sections.
  • Collegamenti di controllo: Ensure all control linkages (pushrods, clevises) are secure and free from bends or damage. Verify smooth movement of all control surfaces.
  • Elica e motore: Inspect the propeller for chips, cracks, or bends. A damaged propeller can cause vibrations and reduce performance. Check that the motor spins freely and quietly.
  • Carrello di atterraggio: Examine the landing gear for any bends or loose connections. The robust landing gear is designed to absorb impacts, but can be damaged in hard landings.
  • Elettronica: Periodically check all wire connections to the ESC, receiver, and servos to ensure they are secure. Listen for any unusual noises from the motor or servos during operation.
  • Pulizia: Pulisci l'aereo con un panno morbido eamp cloth to remove dirt, grass, or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the foam.
  • Magazzinaggio: Store the aircraft in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent foam degradation.

In case of significant damage, replacement parts such as fuselages and wings are often available from the manufacturer or authorized dealers, making repairs relatively straightforward.
