5. Operativo

5.1 Telemetry (FBUS/S.Port)

The Archer Plus R12+ provides reliable telemetry data through FBUS and S.Port, allowing you to monitor various parameters of your model in real-time on your FrSky transmitter.

  • Ensure your transmitter is configured to receive telemetry data from the receiver.
  • Connect compatible telemetry sensors to the S.Port if additional data (e.g., GPS, battery voltage, current) is required.

5.2 Black-Box Data Record

The receiver includes a basic Black-Box function to record essential flight data, primarily power and signal-related information. This data can be invaluable for post-flight analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Access the 'Flight Data Record' option on your transmitter to view or manage recorded data.
  • The recorded data can help identify issues such as signal fades, power fluctuations, or other performance anomalies.

5.3 Controllo della portata

Performing a range check is essential before each flight to ensure the radio system operates reliably at a safe distance.

  1. Activate Range Check Mode: On your transmitter, select the 'Range Check' option in the RF System menu. This typically reduces the transmitter's power output.
  2. Andarsene: With your model powered on, walk a specified distance (e.g., 30 meters) away while observing the receiver's response and telemetry data (RSSI).
  3. Verify Control: Confirm that all control surfaces and functions respond correctly and smoothly.
  4. Exit Range Check: Deactivate range check mode on your transmitter before flying.

5.4 Impostazioni di sicurezza

Failsafe is a critical safety feature that defines the receiver's behavior in case of signal loss. It is highly recommended to configure failsafe settings for your model.

  • On your transmitter, navigate to the Failsafe settings for the receiver.
  • You can typically choose between:
    • Presa: Maintain the last commanded position.
    • Costume: Set specific positions for each channel (e.g., throttle to idle, control surfaces neutral).
    • Nessun impulso: Stop sending pulses to servos (not recommended for most models).
  • Configure failsafe to a safe state (e.g., throttle to idle, control surfaces to a level flight position) to minimize damage in case of signal loss.

6. Manutenzione

6.1 Aggiornamenti firmware (OTA)

The Archer Plus R12+ supports Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates, allowing you to upgrade your receiver wirelessly without removing it from your aircraft.

  • Controllare periodicamente FrSky website for the latest firmware versions for your receiver.
  • Follow the instructions provided by FrSky for performing OTA updates via your compatible FrSky transmitter.
  • Ensure your transmitter's firmware is also up-to-date for optimal compatibility.

6.2 Cura generale

  • Mantenere il ricevitore pulito e privo di polvere, sporco e umidità.
  • Evitare di esporre il ricevitore a temperature estreme o alla luce solare diretta per periodi prolungati.
  • Regularly inspect antenna wires for damage and ensure they are properly positioned for optimal reception.

7. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

7.1 Problemi vincolanti

  • No Bind: Check if the receiver is powered correctly and the LEDs are flashing as expected for binding mode. Ensure your transmitter is in the correct protocol (ACCESS or ACCST D16) and model memory.
  • Intermittent Bind: Ensure the receiver and transmitter are within close proximity during the binding process. Check for any strong RF interference in the area.

7.2 Signal Loss or Glitches

  • Posizionamento dell'antenna: Verify that the receiver antennas are positioned at 90-degree angles to each other and are clear of carbon fiber, metal, or other conductive materials.
  • Alimentazione elettrica: Controlla il volumetage and current delivery from your power source. Low voltage can lead to signal issues.
  • Interferenza: Identify and mitigate potential sources of electrical noise (e.g., ESC, motor, servos, wiring). Use ferrite rings if necessary.
  • Controllo della portata: Perform a thorough range check to confirm the system's operational range.

7.3 Incorrect Channel Output

  • Configurazione del trasmettitore: Double-check your transmitter's channel mapping and output settings to ensure they match your model's requirements.
  • Configurazione del ricevitore: Verify that the receiver's channel ports are configured to the correct output type (PWM, SBUS, FBUS, S.Port) as intended.
