5. Configurazione e installazione
5.1 Montaggio del controller
- Scegli una posizione: Select a flat, stable surface on your fixed-wing aircraft, ideally near the center of gravity. Ensure the controller is mounted horizontally and securely.
- Superficie pulita: Clean the mounting area thoroughly to remove any dust or grease.
- Apply Mounting Tape: Use the provided double-sided adhesive tape to secure the flight controller firmly to the chosen surface. Ensure the arrow on the controller points towards the front of the aircraft.
5.2 Collegamenti di cablaggio
Refer to Figure 2 for port identification. Connect your receiver and servos to the flight controller as follows:
- Ingresso ricevitore: Connect the corresponding channels from your RC receiver to the input pins on the side of the flight controller (Ail, Ele, Rud, Multi).
- Servo Output: Connect your aircraft's servos to the labeled output ports:
- Aileron R/L: Right and Left Aileron servos. (Use Y-wiring if only one aileron channel is available from receiver).
- Ascensore: Servocomando dell'elevatore.
- Timone: Servo del timone.
- Emerg/Multi: Emergency or Multi-function channel (e.g., throttle, gear).
- Energia: The flight controller is typically powered through one of the receiver channels from your ESC's BEC or a separate UBEC. Ensure the voltage is within the specified DC 4.5 - 6V range.
5.3 Initial Configuration (DIP Switches)
The NX4 EVO features DIP switches for initial setup. The exact configuration depends on your aircraft type and desired settings. Consult the specific instructions provided with your controller for detailed DIP switch settings. Generally, these switches control:
- Aircraft type (e.g., normal wing, delta wing, V-tail).
- Flight mode selection (e.g., Gyro On/Off, specific stabilization modes).
- Reversing servo directions (if needed, though typically done on the transmitter).
Nota: Always perform a thorough ground test after configuration to verify all control surfaces respond correctly to transmitter inputs and gyro corrections.
6. Modalità operative
The NX4 EVO offers four distinct flight modes, selectable via your radio transmitter (if configured) or through the controller's settings:
- Modalità principiante: Provides maximum stabilization and limits control surface throws, making it easier for new pilots to learn. Features automatic aileron leveling.
- Modalità pratica: Offers significant stabilization but allows for greater control input, suitable for pilots gaining confidence.
- Modalità intermedia: Reduced stabilization, allowing for more agile flight while still providing some assistance.
- Expert Mode (3D AVCS): Minimal or no stabilization, providing direct control for advanced maneuvers and 3D flight. Features attitude locking.
6.1 Regolazione del guadagno
The sensitivity of the gyroscope (gain) can be adjusted using two methods:
- Radio Transmitter Control: If your transmitter has an auxiliary channel assigned to gain control, you can adjust the gain in real-time during flight.
- Variable Resistor: The controller board has a variable resistor (potentiometer) that allows for independent, manual adjustment of the gain. Use a small screwdriver to carefully turn the resistor.
Raccomandazione: Start with lower gain settings and gradually increase them until you find the optimal balance between stability and responsiveness for your aircraft.
7. Manutenzione
- Mantenere pulito: Regularly inspect the controller for dust, dirt, or debris. Clean gently with a soft, dry brush or compressed air.
- Controllare le connessioni: Ensure all wiring connections are secure and free from damage before each flight.
- Evitare l'umidità: Protect the controller from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Ispezione fisica: Controllare periodicamente il casing for any signs of damage.
8. Risoluzione Dei Problemi
- Aircraft Unstable/Oscillating:
- Possibile causa: Gain setting is too high.
- Soluzione: Reduce the gain setting using either the transmitter or the variable resistor on the board.
- No Response from Control Surfaces:
- Possibile causa: Incorrect wiring, power issue, or receiver not bound.
- Soluzione: Verify all connections, check power supply to the receiver and controller, ensure receiver is properly bound to the transmitter.
- Control Surfaces Move in Wrong Direction:
- Possibile causa: Servo reverse setting incorrect.
- Soluzione: Adjust servo reverse settings on your radio transmitter. Do not use the controller's DIP switches for reversing unless explicitly instructed by specific model documentation.
- Il controller non si accende:
- Possibile causa: Insufficient or incorrect power input.
- Soluzione: Check power source (BEC/UBEC) and ensure voltage is within 4.5-6V. Verify power connection polarity.
