3. Configurazione e installazione

3.1 Montaggio della radio

The Retevis MB63B is designed for easy installation in various vehicles. Use the provided main mounting bracket and screws to secure the radio in a convenient location within your vehicle. Ensure the location allows for proper ventilation and easy access to controls.

3.2 Collegamento di alimentazione

The MB63B CB radio is compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicle power systems. Connect the provided cigarette lighter power cable to your vehicle's power outlet and to the radio's power input. Ensure a secure connection.

3.3 Installazione dell'antenna

Connect the included antenna to the antenna connector on the rear of the CB radio. Position the antenna for optimal signal reception, typically on the roof or a high point of the vehicle. No additional tuning is required for the included antenna.

3.4 Collegamento del microfono

Plug the microphone cable into the designated microphone port on the front panel of the radio. Use the microphone hanger to secure the microphone when not in use.

4.1 Controlli e funzioniview

  • 1. ASQ ~ SQ Knob (ASQ ~ SQ Button): Rotate to adjust noise reduction. Press to adjust noise reduction level in CB or V mode.
  • 2. AM/FM CB/WX Button: Short press for AM/FM. Long press to switch between CB and WX modes.
  • 3. SCAN / RB (Scan / Repeater) Button: Short press to scan channels. Long press for Roger Beep menu.
  • 4. EMG Button: Short press for emergency channels. Long press for key lock.
  • Pulsanti CH Su/Giù: Select channels.
  • FUNC/MENU Button: Access function menu.
  • Pulsante PTT (premi per parlare): On microphone, press to transmit.
  • Microphone Up/Down Buttons: On microphone, adjust channel or menu settings.

4.2 Powering On/Off and Volume

To power on the radio, rotate the VOL knob clockwise. Continue rotating to adjust the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise until it clicks to power off.

4.4 Noise Reduction (NRC, ASQ, SQ)

The radio features advanced noise reduction technologies:

  • NRC (Noise Reduction Circuit): Eliminates most ambient noise for clearer audio.
  • ASQ (Squelch automatico): Automatically mutes weak signals to reduce background noise. Adjust with the ASQ/SQ knob.
  • QS (Squelch): Manually adjust the squelch level to filter out noise.

4.5 VOX Function (Voice Activated Transmission)

Activate the VOX function for hands-free communication. This allows you to transmit by speaking into the microphone without pressing the PTT button. Refer to the menu for VOX sensitivity adjustment.
