To perform a connection test, press the 'Menu' button, select the 'Connection Test' option, and wait for the terminal to print a receipt. A distinct 'Connection OK' message indicates the device is ready.
Open the paper cover by lifting the catch located at the top of the terminal. Insert the paper roll with the paper feeding from underneath/bottom, pull a small length out, and close the cover until it clicks shut. Tear off any excess paper.
