5. Configurazione e installazione

Follow these steps to upgrade your laser engraver frame. For a visual guide, please refer to the tutorial video below.

5.1. Disassembly of Original Frame

  1. Carefully remove the screws securing the control box to the frame. Disconnect all wires from the control board.
  2. Remove the laser module from the X-axis beam by loosening its screws.
  3. Loosen and remove the timing belts from the X and Y axes.
  4. Disassemble the original X-axis and Y-axis frame beams from the corner brackets.
  5. Remove the carriage from the X-axis beam by disassembling its wheels.

5.2. Assembly of Upgrade Kit

  1. Assemble the carriage wheels: Attach the wheels to the carriage plate using the provided screws and nuts. Ensure the wheels are securely fastened.
  2. Install the timing belts onto the new X-axis beam. Thread the belt through the carriage and secure it. Note: The red coupling shown in the video is for display purposes only; please refer to your actual product.
  3. Attach the carriage with the installed belt to the new X-axis beam. Ensure the belt is properly tensioned.
  4. Connect the new Y-axis aluminum extrusions to the existing frame corners. Use the M5*20 screws to secure these connections. Note: When installing, please make sure that the X-axis beam is parallel to the front and rear beam profiles. È possibile utilizzare il rettangolo sulla scala per una regolazione ausiliaria.
  5. Connect the new X-axis aluminum extrusions to the Y-axis beams, forming the expanded frame. Use the M5*10 screws for these connections.
  6. Re-attach the laser module to the X-axis beam.
  7. Install the bellows holders and bellows onto the frame. Fix the bellows with black wire ties to ensure they are secure and manage cables effectively.
  8. Connect the extension cables to the stepper motors (Y1, Y2, X) and the limit switches. Refer to the wiring diagram on the control board for correct connections. Ensure the Y2 cable is connected to the Y2 port, and the X cable to the X port.
  9. Re-attach the control box to the frame using M4*20 screws.

5.3. Regolazione della tensione

After assembly, ensure proper tension of the timing belts and smooth movement of the carriage.
