Installazione della batteria
The FY18S requires 2x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included).
- Use a screwdriver to turn out the battery cover screw located at the bottom of the device.
- Rimuovere le batterie vecchie, se presenti.
- Load new AAA batteries according to the positive (+) and negative (-) battery instructions indicated inside the compartment.

Warning: To avoid electric shock, do not use the device until the battery cover is fastened in place.

1. Turn On/Off the Tester
- Attiva: Press the On/Off button (7) briefly.
- Spegnere: Press the On/Off button (7) briefly again.
2. Turn On/Off the Flashlight
- Attiva: Short press the Flashlight button (6).
- Spegnere: Short press the Flashlight button (6) again.

3. Volume ACtage Rilevamento (NCV)
Insert the probe (1) of the tester into the power socket or near the live wire. When the tester detects an AC voltage signal, the display (3) shows the signal strength (low, medium, high). Simultaneously, the buzzer emits different frequencies of alarm sounds corresponding to the detected signal strength.
4. Zero/Fire Wire Discrimination
To distinguish between zero (neutral) and fire (live) wires:
- Keep the two wires to be tested as far apart as possible.
- Use the tester probe (1) to approach each wire separately.
- If inserting into a socket, insert the probe into each jack.
- The wire that causes a strong induction signal on the tester is the live wire.
- The wire with a weak or no induction signal is the neutral wire.
5. Volume ACtage Detection Range Selection
- The tester defaults to an AC voltage detection range of approximately 48V~1000V upon startup.
- Lightly press the High sensitivity key (H) (4) to switch the detection range to approximately 12V~1000V.
- Lightly press the Low sensitivity key (L) (5) to switch the detection range back to approximately 48V~1000V.
6. Rilevamento dei punti di interruzione
The FY18S can detect breakpoints in a wire. When scanning a wire, the device will indicate a live point, then a breakpoint (where the signal stops), and finally a dead point (no signal).
7. Auto Shutdown Function
To conserve battery life, the tester will automatically shut down if there is no operation for approximately 5 minutes and no voltage signal is detected.
8. Batteria sottovoltage Indicazione

Manutenzione
Assistenza generale

Risoluzione dei problemi

- Nessun rilevamento NCV: Confirm the device is powered on and the NCV sensor head is in close proximity to the AC voltage source. Ensure the voltage is within the tester's detection range (12V-1000V or 48V-1000V).
