5. Istruzioni per l'installazione
5.1. Transmitter Compatibility and Setup
The TM-18 RF Module is compatible with the following Futaba transmitters:
- T32MZ WC
- T32MZ
- Modello T18SZ
- T16IZ
- T16IZS
Specific Setup Notes:
- T32MZ WC / T32MZ: The TM-18 RF Module can be used directly by connecting it to the CRSF interface.
- T18SZ, T16IZ, T16SZ, T12K: For these transmitters, the CRSF mode must be enabled in the transmitter settings. Please note that when CRSF mode is enabled, S.BUS servo settings cannot be performed.
- T16SZ and T12K: These transmitters require an additional external power supply for the TM-18 RF Module, as they do not provide power through their CRSF interface.
5.2. TM-18 RF Module Installation on T32MZ
For T32MZ transmitters, use the provided installation bracket and double-sided adhesive tape to secure the TM-18 RF Module.
- Align the claws of the installation bracket with the three grooves on the TM-18 RF Module.
- Attach the bracket firmly to the module.
- Apply the double-sided adhesive tape to the bracket or the designated area on the transmitter.
- Carefully position and attach the TM-18 RF Module assembly to your T32MZ transmitter as illustrated below.

5.3. R9001SB Receiver Installation and Wiring
The R9001SB receiver features a dual antenna diversity design for improved signal reception. It supports S.BUS2, S.BUS, and conventional 3-channel outputs.
Alimentazione elettrica: The receiver requires a power supply between 4.8V and 7.4V. It is crucial to use a BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) power supply and ensure its capacity is sufficient for all connected equipment. Do not use dry batteries to power the R9001SB receiver.
Cablaggio Example for Aircraft with Dual Rx Link:

As shown in Figure 5, connect the AdRCSS Receiver (R9001SB) and your primary receiver (with Dual Link Rx) to the flight controller or directly to servos as per your aircraft's configuration. Ensure all servo connections are correct and secure.
6. Istruzioni per l'uso
6.1. AdRCSS 920MHz System Overview
The AdRCSS 920MHz system acts as a reliable backup for your 2.4GHz communication. In normal operation, your aircraft will primarily use the 2.4GHz signal. If the 2.4GHz reception experiences failure, the system will seamlessly switch to the 920MHz signal, maintaining control.

Note on Communication Speeds: Due to inherent differences in communication speeds between various systems, you might observe slight variations in operation immediately after a system switch (e.g., from 2.4GHz to 920MHz). This is considered normal behavior and does not indicate a malfunction.
6.2. Fail-Safe Function (F/S)
The R9001SB receiver includes a fail-safe function, limited to 3 channels. When the fail-safe (F/S) is triggered (e.g., due to signal loss), the preset F/S channel will automatically move to a safe, pre-programmed position. All other channels will enter a locked (Hold) state, maintaining their last commanded position until signal is restored.
It is highly recommended to configure your fail-safe settings appropriately for your aircraft type and operational preferences to ensure maximum safety in case of signal interruption.
7. Manutenzione
- Pulizia: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the module and receiver. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Magazzinaggio: Conservare i componenti in un luogo fresco e asciutto, lontano dalla luce solare diretta e da temperature estreme.
- Connessioni: Regularly check all wiring and connectors for signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections.
- antenne: Ensure receiver antennas are properly positioned and free from damage. Avoid bending them sharply.
8. Risoluzione Dei Problemi
8.1. Nessun segnale / Segnale intermittente
- Controllare le connessioni: Ensure all cables (CRSF signal, power) are securely connected to both the TM-18 module and the receiver.
- Alimentazione elettrica: Verify that the receiver is receiving adequate power (4.8V-7.4V) and that the BEC capacity is sufficient. Remember, no dry batteries.
- Posizionamento dell'antenna: Ensure receiver antennas are positioned correctly and are not obstructed by carbon fiber or metal parts of the aircraft.
- Modalità trasmettitore: Confirm that CRSF mode is enabled on compatible transmitters (T18SZ, T16IZ, T16SZ, T12K).
- Allineare: Perform a ground range check to ensure proper operation before flight.
8.2. Fail-Safe Triggering Unexpectedly
- Segnale di interferenza: Check for potential sources of 2.4GHz or 920MHz interference in your operating environment.
- Posizionamento del ricevitore: Ensure the receiver is not too close to high-current components (ESCs, motors) that could generate electrical noise.
- Fluttuazioni di potenza: Verify stable power delivery to the receiver.
8.3. S.BUS Servo Settings Not Working (T18SZ, T16IZ, T16SZ, T12K)
- This is expected behavior when CRSF mode is enabled on these specific transmitters. If S.BUS servo settings are required, you may need to temporarily disable CRSF mode or use a different setup configuration.
9. Suggerimenti per l'utente
- Dual Receiver Link: For optimal reliability, always use the AdRCSS 920MHz system in conjunction with a primary 2.4GHz receiver that supports dual receiver link systems (e.g., R7308SB, R7208SB, FDLS-1, DLPH-1, DLPH-2). This configuration provides the most robust signal redundancy.
- Orientamento dell'antenna: Experiment with different antenna orientations for both the 2.4GHz and 920MHz receivers to achieve the best possible signal reception in various flight attitudes. Avoid placing antennas parallel to each other.
- Gestione energetica: Pay close attention to your aircraft's power system. An unstable or insufficient power supply is a common cause of RC system issues.
- Aggiornamenti del firmware: Periodically check the Futaba website for any available firmware updates for your TM-18 module and R9001SB receiver to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes.
