4. Impostazione

4.1 Installazione della batteria

The HT73 requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). To install:

Individuare il vano batteria sul retro del dispositivo.
Aprire il coperchio del vano batterie.
Inserire due batterie AAA, assicurandosi della corretta polarità (+/-).

4.2 Probe Installation/Removal

The HT73 comes with removable probes for easy replacement.

To install or replace probes, use the included small wrench.
Carefully screw the probes into the designated sockets at the top of the meter.
Ensure they are tightened securely but do not overtighten.

5.1 Accensione/spegnimento

Premere il tasto Pulsante di accensione () to turn the device ON.
Premere e tenere premuto il tasto Pulsante di accensione to turn the device OFF.

5.2 Selecting Material Category

The HT73 has 7 built-in material categories. To select the appropriate category for your measurement:

Premere il tasto Pulsante M (Measurement Materials Category Selection Key) to cycle through the 7 material types.
Ensure the selected category matches the material you are testing for accurate results.

5.3 Esecuzione di una misurazione

Turn on the meter and select the correct material category using the Pulsante M.
Remove the probe protective cap.
Carefully insert the two test probes into the material you wish to measure. Ensure both probes penetrate the surface adequately for good contact.
Read the moisture content directly from the digital display. The analog bar provides a quick visual reference.
The backlight color will indicate the moisture level: Green (Low), Orange (Moderate), Red (High).
After measurement, remove the probes and replace the protective cap.

5.4 Funzione di conservazione dei dati

Per bloccare la lettura corrente sul display:

Premere il tasto MAX HOLD Button once during measurement. The reading will be held.
Premere il tasto MAX HOLD Button again to release the hold function and resume live measurement.

5.5 MAX Measurement

To automatically capture and display the highest moisture reading during a measurement session:

Premere e tenere premuto il tasto MAX HOLD Button for a few seconds. The meter will enter MAX measurement mode.
The display will show the maximum moisture content detected.
Premere e tenere premuto il tasto MAX HOLD Button again to exit MAX measurement mode.

5.6 Interpreting Tri-Color Backlight

The HT73's display backlight changes color to provide a quick visual indication of moisture levels:

6. Manutenzione

6.1 Pulizia

After each use, wipe the probes clean with a dry cloth to remove any residue.

Keep the display screen clean and free from dust.

6.2 Sostituzione della sonda

The stainless steel probes are designed for durability but may wear out or become damaged over time. Use the provided wrench to replace them as described in Section 4.2.

6.3 Conservazione

Always replace the probe protective cap after use to prevent damage to the probes and ensure measurement accuracy.

For best results, always ensure the probes are clean and make good contact with the material being tested.
When measuring wood, try to insert the probes along the grain for more consistent readings.
Take multiple readings in different spots on the material to get a comprehensive understanding of its moisture content.
Remember that the tri-color backlight is a quick indicator; refer to the digital readout for precise values.
Keep the protective cap on the probes when not in use to prevent accidental injury and damage to the probes.
