5. Configurazione iniziale

5.1. Carica del dispositivo

Before first use, fully charge the VNA6 using the provided USB Type-C data cable and a compatible 5V/1A USB-A power adapter (not included). The power indicator light will show charging status.

5.2. Accensione/Spegnimento

Locate the ON/OFF physical switch button on the top side of the device. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the VNA6. To power off, slide the switch to the 'OFF' position.

5.3. Selezione della lingua

The VNA6 supports multiple languages. To change the language:

6. Funzionamento

6.1. Navigazione nel menu

Utilizzare il MENU button to access the main menu. Navigate through options using the arrow buttons and select with the touch screen or a dedicated selection button (if available, typically Fn or a central button). The Fn button may also serve as a shortcut for frequently used functions.

6.2. Esecuzione di una scansione

To perform a frequency sweep:

  1. Dal menu principale, seleziona Scansione.
  2. Regolare il Inizio E Fermare frequencies using the on-screen keypad or arrow buttons.
  3. Imposta il numero di Punti for the scan (e.g., 101, 501, 1001 points).
  4. Confirm settings and initiate the scan.

6.3. Calibrazione

Accurate measurements require proper calibration. The VNA6 comes with an SMA Open/Short/Load Kit for this purpose. Follow these steps for calibration:

  1. Dal menu principale, seleziona Calibrazione.
  2. Collegare il Aprire calibration standard to PORT 1, then select 'Open' on the screen.
  3. Remove the Open standard, connect the Corto calibration standard to PORT 1, then select 'Short' on the screen.
  4. Remove the Short standard, connect the Carico calibration standard to PORT 1, then select 'Load' on the screen.
  5. Connect the 20cm RG405 cable between PORT 1 and PORT 2, then select 'Through' on the screen.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 for PORT 2 if performing a full two-port calibration.
  7. Once all necessary calibration steps are completed, save the calibration data as a preset. The VNA6 can store up to 32 sets of calibration results.

6.4. Measuring S11 and S21 Parameters

After calibration, connect your Device Under Test (DUT) to PORT 1 (for S11) or between PORT 1 and PORT 2 (for S21). The VNA6 will display the measurement results on its screen. You can switch between different display formats (Phase, LogAmp, SWR, Smith, TDR) using the on-screen buttons.

7. Suggerimenti per l'utente

  • Always perform a calibration before taking critical measurements, especially when changing frequency ranges or cables, to ensure accuracy.
  • Use the stylus for precise interaction with the touchscreen, particularly for inputting numerical values.
  • Save frequently used measurement setups as presets for quick recall.
  • Ensure all SMA connections are finger-tight to avoid signal loss and measurement errors.

8. Manutenzione

  • Pulizia: Utilizzare un panno morbido e asciutto per pulire il dispositivo. Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi o solventi.
  • Magazzinaggio: Store the VNA6 in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
