Configurazione e installazione
The Leviton 830-T plug requires assembly to connect to your electrical cable. Follow these steps carefully:
- Preparare il cavo: Strip the outer jacket of your electrical cable to expose the insulated wires (typically hot, neutral, and ground). Strip approximately 3/4 inch of insulation from each individual wire.
- Smontare la spina: Carefully open the plug housing. Note that the internal blades may be shipped loose. Identify the terminal screws for each connection.
- Collegare i fili: Insert the stripped ends of the wires into the appropriate terminal openings. The deep-slotted, backed-out terminal screws are designed to securely clamp over stripped leads.
- Collegare il Caldo wire (usually black) to the brass-colored terminal.
- Collegare il Neutro wire (usually white) to the silver-colored terminal.
- Collegare il Terra wire (usually green or bare copper) to the green-colored terminal.
- Connessioni sicure: Tighten the terminal screws firmly to ensure maximum conductivity and prevent loose connections. Verify that no stray wire strands are touching other terminals.
- Rimontare l'alloggiamento: Carefully position the internal components and blades, then close the plug housing. Ensure all parts fit correctly and the housing is securely fastened.

Note: Some users have reported that the blades may not be permanently installed and the wire clamps can be challenging for stranded wire. Take extra care during assembly to ensure proper and secure connections.
Istruzioni per l'uso
Once assembled, the Leviton 830-T plug is ready for use:
- Ensure the power source (e.g., RV park pedestal) is turned OFF before plugging in or unplugging.
- Insert the plug firmly into a compatible 30 Amp, 125 Volt NEMA TT-30R receptacle.
- Once fully inserted, you may turn ON the power at the source.
- To disconnect, first turn OFF the power at the source, then firmly grasp the plug body and pull it straight out from the receptacle. Do not pull by the cord.
Manutenzione
- Periodically inspect the plug for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage to the housing or blades.
- Check the cable entry point for fraying or damage.
- Ensure terminal screws remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary, with power disconnected.
- Clean the plug exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Quando non viene utilizzata, conservare la spina in un ambiente pulito e asciutto.
Risoluzione dei problemi
- Nessun potere:
- Check if the power source (e.g., circuit breaker at the pedestal) is ON.
- Verify that the plug is fully inserted into the receptacle.
- Controllare che il cavo e la spina non presentino danni visibili.
- Ensure internal wiring connections are secure (refer to Setup section).
- Plug Does Not Fit into Receptacle (e.g., "mousehole"):
- Confirm the receptacle is a NEMA TT-30R type.
- Some RV "mouseholes" or access points may have limited space. Compare the dimensions of the plug (4.1 x 3.9 x 2.5 inches) with the available space. Minor modifications to the access point cover may be required in some cases, but always ensure safety and weather sealing.
- Difficulty Assembling Wires:
- Ensure wires are stripped to the correct length (approx. 3/4 inch).
- Twist stranded wires tightly before inserting them into the terminal clamps to prevent fraying.
- Confirm the blades are correctly seated within the housing before attempting to close.
