The Global G-2 Chef's Knife is designed for a variety of kitchen tasks. Use it for:

  • Tritare: Finely chop herbs, garlic, or ginger.
  • Taglio: Prepare vegetables like onions, carrots, and celery.
  • Affettare: Cut meats, poultry, and larger vegetables with precision.
  • Lavoro preparatorio: Handle general food preparation tasks efficiently.

Always use a stable cutting surface, such as a wooden or soft plastic cutting board, to protect the blade's edge.

Presa corretta

Hold the knife with a firm but relaxed grip. The dimpled handle is designed to prevent slipping. For optimal control, grip the handle with your dominant hand, placing your thumb on one side of the blade and your index finger on the opposite side, just above the handle.

Pulizia

Solo lavaggio a mano: Global knives should be hand washed immediately after each use with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and protect the edge. Non lavare in lavastoviglie, as harsh detergents and high temperatures can damage the blade and handle.

Affilatura

To maintain the razor sharpness of your Global knife, use a ceramic sharpener or a diamond steel. These are recommended over traditional metal sharpening steels. For more intensive sharpening, a synthetic whetstone, ceramic whetstone, or a Shinkansen sharpener can be used. Global also offers a Sharpening Guide Rail to assist in honing blades at the proper angle.

Magazzinaggio

Always store Global knives in a safe, dry environment. It is recommended to store them in a dedicated knife block or on a magnetic knife rack to protect the blade and prevent accidental injury.
