2. Rimuovere la vecchia presa (se applicabile): Unscrew the wall plate and then the mounting screws holding the old receptacle in the electrical box. Carefully pull the old receptacle out of the box. Disconnect the wires, noting which wire was connected to which terminal.
3. Preparare i cavi: If necessary, strip approximately 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) of insulation from the ends of the circuit wires. The built-in wire stripper on the receptacle can assist with this for #14 and #12 gauge wires.
4. Collegare i fili: This receptacle is non-grounding. Connect the wires as follows:
   • Hot Wire (Black or Red): Connect to the brass-colored screw terminal.
   • Filo neutro (bianco): Connect to the silver-colored screw terminal.

   You can use either the side screw terminals or the push-in terminals for #14 wire. For side wiring, wrap the wire clockwise around the screw and tighten securely. For push-in wiring, ensure the wire is straight and push it firmly into the appropriate hole until it stops.

5. Presa sicura: Carefully fold the wires into the electrical box. Insert the new receptacle into the box and secure it with the provided mounting screws. The wider straps help ensure a stable installation.
