Installazione e configurazione iniziale
Before using your watch, it is important to perform the initial setup and calibration steps to ensure accurate readings for all functions.
1. Impostazione dell'ora
To set the time, pull the crown out to the outermost position. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to resume timekeeping.
2. Calibrazione bussola
For accurate compass readings, the watch must be calibrated away from large metal objects and electronics. Follow these steps:
- Place the watch on a level surface.
- Estrarre la corona nella posizione centrale.
- Once the indicator hand stops moving, press the left pusher.
- Slowly rotate the watch for two complete revolutions. Each revolution should take at least 15 seconds.
- Press either pusher once complete.

3. Setting Local Declination Angle
The declination angle is the difference between magnetic north and true north, which varies by location. To set your local declination angle:
- With the crown still in the middle position (after compass calibration), press the top pusher to move the fourth hand west, or the bottom pusher to move the hand east.
- Each short push adjusts the hand by one degree. Consult a local map or online resource for your area's specific declination angle.
- Once set, return the crown to the original position.
Nota: per esample, in New York City, the declination angle is approximately 13 degrees west.
4. Tide and Temperature Calibration
Specific calibration steps for tide and temperature are typically detailed in the full user guide. Generally, tide tracking requires setting the current high or low tide for your location, and temperature readings are most accurate when the watch is off the wrist for a period to avoid body heat interference.
Istruzioni per l'uso
Using the Tide Tracker
The tide tracker counts down to high or low tide. Once calibrated to your local tide cycle, the sub-dial will indicate the current tide status, helping you plan activities near coastal areas.
Utilizzo del termometro
The watch features a thermometer to measure air and water temperature. For accurate air temperature readings, remove the watch from your wrist and allow it to acclimate to the ambient temperature for at least 15-20 minutes.
Using the Analog Compass
After calibration and declination angle setting, the analog compass provides directional guidance. Hold the watch level and allow the compass hand to settle to determine your bearing.
Luce notturna Indiglo
The Indiglo light-up watch dial illuminates the entire dial for easy readability in low-light conditions. Activate by pressing the crown.
Resistenza all'acqua
This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). It is suitable for snorkeling and swimming, but not for diving. Avoid operating the pushers or crown while the watch is submerged to prevent water ingress.
Manutenzione
Una cura adeguata garantirà la longevità e le prestazioni del tuo orologio Timex.

- Batteria: The watch requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). Battery life varies depending on usage of features like Indiglo. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to have it done by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
- Magazzinaggio: Conserva l'orologio in un luogo fresco e asciutto, lontano dalla luce solare diretta e da temperature estreme.
- Evitare gli impatti: While durable, avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to severe impacts, which can damage internal components.
- Inaccurate Compass/Tide/Temperature: Re-perform the calibration steps detailed in the "Setup and Initial Configuration" section. Ensure you are away from magnetic interference when calibrating the compass.
- Condensa sotto il cristallo: Ciò potrebbe indicare una perdita di resistenza all'acqua. Evitare ulteriore esposizione all'acqua e rivolgersi immediatamente a un centro di assistenza professionale.
- I pulsanti non rispondono: Ensure the crown is in the correct position for the desired function. If issues persist, a professional inspection may be required.
