5. Impostazione

5.1. Installazione del ricevitore

  1. Mount the receiver in your model using double-sided foam tape or a similar vibration-dampening material. Ensure it is protected from fuel, water, and excessive vibration.
  2. Position the antenna to ensure optimal signal reception. Avoid bending or cutting the antenna wire.
  3. Ensure the antenna is not in contact with carbon fiber or other conductive materials, which can shield the signal.

5.2. Binding (Linking) the Receiver to Your Transmitter

The binding process establishes a unique link between your R2106GF receiver and your Futaba FHSS/S-FHSS transmitter. This must be done before first use.

  1. Turn on your Futaba FHSS/S-FHSS transmitter and place it in "Link" or "Binding" mode according to your transmitter's manual.
  2. Connect a battery (4.8V-7.4V) to the R2106GF receiver. The LED on the receiver will begin to flash.
  3. Press and hold the "SW" (Switch) button on the receiver for approximately 2 seconds. The LED will change its flashing pattern.
  4. Once the binding process is complete, the LED on the receiver will turn solid green, indicating a successful link.
  5. Turn off both the receiver and the transmitter. Then, turn them back on (transmitter first, then receiver) to confirm the link is maintained.

Nota: If the LED does not turn solid green, repeat the binding process. Ensure your transmitter is set to FHSS or S-FHSS mode, not FASST.

5.3. Servo Connections

Connect your servos and other components (e.g., ESC, battery) to the corresponding channels on the receiver. The R2106GF has 6 channels, typically labeled 1 through 6 or B/6.

Always refer to your model's specific instructions for correct servo assignments.

6. Funzionamento

6.1. Accensione e spegnimento

  1. Always turn on your transmitter first.
  2. Then, connect the battery to the receiver or turn on the receiver's power switch.
  3. To power off, disconnect the receiver battery or turn off the receiver's power switch first.
  4. Finally, turn off your transmitter.

Following this sequence prevents unintended model operation.

6.2. High Speed Mode

The R2106GF supports a High Speed mode, which is beneficial for digital servos to achieve faster response times. To activate High Speed mode, your transmitter must also support and be set to High Speed (HS) mode. Consult your transmitter's manual for instructions on enabling this feature.

Importante: High Speed mode should only be used with digital servos. Using analog servos in High Speed mode can cause damage to the servos.

6.3. Funzione di sicurezza

The R2106GF features a fail-safe function on all channels. In the event of signal loss or low battery voltage from the receiver, the fail-safe system will move the servos to a pre-programmed position (e.g., throttle to idle, control surfaces to neutral) to minimize damage or loss of the model. Refer to your transmitter's manual for setting up fail-safe positions.
