The heart rate monitor uses a replaceable battery. To insert or replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the sensor module.
2. Use a coin to twist the battery cover counter-clockwise until it opens.
3. Insert a new CR2032 coin cell battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Replace the battery cover and twist clockwise until it is securely closed.
