3. Setup: Loading the Lancet Drum

The Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device uses a drum containing six sterile lancets. Follow these steps to load a new drum:

  2. Insert the Lancet Drum: Insert a new lancet drum, white end first, into the drum holder of the lancing device. Push it in firmly until it clicks into place.

4. Operating: Performing a Blood Sampla Collezione

  1. Prime the Device: Push the priming button on the end of the lancing device until it clicks. The release button will now be yellow, indicating it is ready to use.

5.1. Cleaning the Lancing Device

Clean the exterior of your Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the device in water. Ensure it is completely dry before storage or next use.

5.2. Disposing of Used Lancet Drums

After all six lancets in a drum have been used, the drum must be safely disposed of. The lancing device will indicate when the drum is empty (usually by showing a red line or a specific symbol in the window).

  2. Eject the Drum: Push the drum ejector button (if available on your model) or simply pull the used drum out of the device.
