Modello: AZ80400

Introduzione

Thank you for choosing the Gskyer 80mm AZ Space Astronomical Refractor Telescope. This manual provides essential information for the proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your telescope. Designed for both beginners and enthusiasts, this refractor telescope offers clear views of celestial objects and terrestrial landscapes. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Informazioni sulla sicurezza

AVVERTIMENTO: Never aim your telescope at the sun or even close to the sun. Doing so can cause immediate and irreversible eye damage, including blindness. Always use appropriate solar filters if observing the sun, and ensure they are securely attached. Supervise children closely when using the telescope.

Impostare

1. Assemble the Tripod

Unfold the tripod legs and extend them to your desired height. Secure the legs using the locking clamps. Attach the accessory tray to the center brace of the tripod for convenient storage of eyepieces and other small items.

2. Attach the Optical Tube

Carefully place the telescope optical tube onto the altazimuth mount. Ensure it is securely fastened with the provided screws or clamps. The mount allows for smooth horizontal and vertical adjustments.

3. Installare il cercatore

Slide the finderscope into its mounting bracket on the optical tube. Tighten the small screws to hold it in place. The finderscope helps in locating objects before viewosservandoli attraverso il telescopio principale.

4. Install the Diagonal and Eyepiece

Insert the 48° erecting BAK4 prism (diagonal) into the focuser tube. Secure it with the thumbscrew. Then, insert your chosen eyepiece (e.g., K25mm for lower magnification) into the diagonal and tighten its thumbscrew. The diagonal provides a more comfortable viewing angle and an erect image, suitable for both astronomical and terrestrial observations.

5. Align the Finderscope

Aligning the finderscope is crucial for easily locating objects. During daylight, point the main telescope at a distant, stationary object (e.g., a telephone pole or a building corner) at least 500 feet away. Center the object in the main telescope's eyepiece. Then, adjust the screws on the finderscope bracket until the same object is centered in the finderscope's crosshairs. This procedure ensures that whatever is in the finderscope's view is also in the main telescope's view.

Funzionamento del telescopio

1. Regolazione dell'ingrandimento

The telescope comes with three eyepieces (K25mm, K10mm, K5mm) and a 3X Barlow lens. To change magnification, simply swap eyepieces. The K25mm eyepiece provides 16X magnification, the K10mm provides 40X, and the K5mm provides 80X. For higher magnification, insert the 3X Barlow lens between the diagonal and the eyepiece. This will triple the magnification of any eyepiece used with it (e.g., K25mm with Barlow = 48X, K10mm with Barlow = 120X, K5mm with Barlow = 240X).

Figure 4: Illustrates the difference in magnification when viewing the moon with the 25mm eyepiece (16x) versus the 10mm eyepiece (40x).

2. Messa a fuoco

Once an object is located in the eyepiece, slowly turn the focus wheel until the image appears sharp and clear. If the image appears blurred, continue adjusting the focus wheel until clarity is achieved.

3. Tracciamento degli oggetti

Use the slow-motion control handle on the altazimuth mount to make fine adjustments and track celestial objects as they move across the sky. This allows for smooth and precise aiming.

4. Using the Phone Attachment and Bluetooth Remote

The included phone attachment allows you to connect your smartphone to an eyepiece, enabling you to capture photos and videos of your observations. Secure your phone in the attachment and align its camera with the eyepiece. Use the Bluetooth remote to trigger your phone's camera shutter without touching the telescope, minimizing vibrations for clearer images.

Manutenzione

1. Pulizia delle lenti

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe away dust or smudges. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the lens coatings. For stubborn spots, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.

2. Conservazione

When not in use, store the telescope in a dry, dust-free environment. Keep all lens caps on to protect the optical surfaces. If possible, store the telescope in its original packaging or a padded carrying case to prevent damage.

3. Considerazioni ambientali

Rapid temperature changes can cause condensation on the lenses. To minimize this, allow the telescope to acclimate to the outdoor temperature for about 30 minutes before use. If condensation occurs, allow it to evaporate naturally or gently wipe with a clean, dry lens cloth.

Risoluzione dei problemi

1. Blurred Image

If the image appears blurred, adjust the focus using the focus wheel. Ensure the correct eyepiece is securely inserted and that the finderscope is properly aligned with the main telescope. Atmospheric conditions can also affect image clarity; try observing on a night with stable air.

2. Difficulty Locating Objects

Ensure your finderscope is accurately aligned with the main telescope. Start with the lowest magnification eyepiece (K25mm) for a wider field of view, making it easier to locate objects. Once the object is centered, switch to higher magnification eyepieces.

3. Unstable View

Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked, and that the telescope is securely mounted. Avoid touching the telescope during observation to minimize vibrations. Observing from a stable surface can also help.
