1. Introduzione

Welcome to the Nespresso CitiZ Original Espresso Machine user manual. This guide provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new espresso machine. The CitiZ machine is designed to deliver high-quality espresso and lungo with ease, featuring a compact design and intuitive controls.

The Nespresso CitiZ machine offers a fast 25-second preheating time and a high-pressure pump to ensure optimal coffee extraction. It includes two programmable buttons for Espresso and Lungo preparations, allowing for automatic flow stop. The machine also features a used capsule container that holds up to 10 spent capsules and an automatic power-off function after nine minutes of inactivity to save energy. A folding cup shelf accommodates various cup sizes, from small espresso cups to taller mugs.

4. Impostazione

Per configurare la tua macchina Nespresso CitiZ per la prima volta, segui questi passaggi:

1. Disimballare: Estrarre con cautela la macchina e tutti i componenti dall'imballaggio.
2. Posizione: Place the machine on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for proper ventilation and access to the water tank.
3. Serbatoio dell'acqua di risciacquo: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Rinse it thoroughly with fresh drinking water.

6. Primo utilizzo / Risciacquo: Before making your first coffee, it is recommended to run a rinsing cycle. Place a large container (at least 0.5L) under the coffee outlet. Press either the Espresso or Lungo button. The machine will start pumping water through the system. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the internal components.

5. Istruzioni per l'uso

La macchina Nespresso CitiZ è progettata per un funzionamento semplice, con un solo tocco.

5.1 Making Espresso or Lungo

1. Accensione: Press either the Espresso or Lungo button to turn on the machine. The buttons will blink while the machine heats up (approximately 25 seconds) and become steady when ready.
2. Leva di sollevamento: Sollevare completamente la leva.
3. Inserire la capsula: Insert a Nespresso Original capsule into the capsule insertion slot.
4. Chiudere la leva: Chiudere bene la leva.

6. Seleziona la dimensione del caffè: Press the Espresso button for a 40 ml shot or the Lungo button for a 110 ml shot. The coffee will begin to flow.
7. Arresto automatico: The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached. To manually stop the flow at any time, press the illuminated button again.
8. Espulsione della capsula: After brewing, lift the lever to eject the used capsule into the internal container. Close the lever.

5.2 Programmazione del volume del caffè

6. Manutenzione

6.1 Pulizia giornaliera

Descaling is crucial to remove mineral deposits and maintain machine performance. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Nespresso recommends descaling every 3-6 months.

1. Preparare la soluzione decalcificante: Use a Nespresso descaling kit or a suitable descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Empty Components: Empty the water tank, used capsule container, and drip tray.
