Configurazione e funzionamento iniziale
1. Disimballaggio e ispezione
Upon receiving your watch, carefully remove it from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. The watch comes in a protective box.

2. Caricare l'orologio
Your Orient Defender II is an automatic watch, meaning it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for initial startup or after a period of inactivity, manual winding is recommended:
- Ensure the crown is in the normal (pushed-in) position.
3. Impostazione dell'ora
- Pull the crown out to the second click position (farthest out). The second hand will stop (hacking feature).
- Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands clockwise until the desired time is set. Pay attention to the 24-hour sub-dial to distinguish between AM and PM.
4. Impostazione della data e del giorno
Important: Do not set the date or day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement. If you need to set the date/day during this period, first set the time outside this window (e.g., to 6:00 AM), adjust the date/day, then reset the time to the current time.
- Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the day of the week (displayed in the sub-dial).
5. Regolazione del braccialetto
The stainless steel bracelet may require adjustment to fit your wrist comfortably. It is recommended to have this adjustment performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to prevent damage to the bracelet or clasp mechanism.

Utilizzo dell'orologio
Movimento automatico
The Orient Defender II is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. This movement is self-winding, meaning it gains power from the natural motion of your arm. When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve that allows it to run for approximately 40 hours without further motion. If the watch stops, simply wind it manually as described in the "Setup" section or wear it for a few hours to restart the movement.

Resistenza all'acqua
This watch has a water resistance rating of 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but it is not recommended for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
Manutenzione e cura
- Evitare i prodotti chimici: Do not expose your watch to solvents, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetics, as these can damage the gaskets, case, and bracelet.
- Temperature estreme: Avoid sudden temperature changes and extreme temperatures, which can affect the movement and water resistance.
- Servizio professionale: For optimal performance, it is recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized Orient service center every 3-5 years. This includes checking the movement, replacing gaskets, and ensuring water resistance.
