3. Impostazione

3.1 Accordare la chitarra

Upon receiving your guitar, the strings will likely be loose and out of tune. Use the included clip-on tuner to accurately tune each string. The tuner typically displays the note and indicates if the string is sharp or flat. Adjust the tuning pegs until the tuner shows the correct note and indicates it is in tune (often by turning green).

New strings tend to stretch, so you may need to re-tune your guitar frequently during the first few playing sessions until the strings stabilize.

3.2 Fissaggio del cinturino

The guitar features strap buttons located at the base of the body and near the neck joint. Attach the included strap to these buttons for comfortable playing while standing.

3.3 Applying the Pickguard

A self-adhesive pickguard is included to protect the guitar's finish from scratches caused by strumming. Carefully peel off the backing and align the pickguard with the soundhole, pressing firmly to secure it in place.

3.4 Using Finger Protectors

For beginners, pressing down on metal strings can be uncomfortable and may lead to calluses. The included finger protectors can be worn on your fingertips to reduce discomfort while you build strength and develop calluses.

3.5 String Winder

The string winder tool assists in quickly winding new strings onto the tuning pegs, making string changes more efficient.

4. Operativo

4.1 Gioco di base

Hold the guitar comfortably, either seated or standing with the strap. Use the included picks for strumming or fingerpicking. The Austin Bazaar Instructional DVD provides guidance on basic chords and playing techniques.

4.2 Using a Capo

A capo is a tool used to shorten the playable length of the guitar strings, effectively raising the pitch of the open strings. This allows you to play in different keys without changing your chord shapes. Place the capo firmly behind the desired fret.

5. Manutenzione

5.1 Pulizia

Regularly wipe down your guitar with the included cleaning cloth to remove dust, fingerprints, and sweat. This helps maintain the finish and prolong the life of your instrument.

5.2 Sostituzione delle corde

Strings wear out over time, affecting tone and playability. Replace old strings with the included replacement set or a new set of your preference. Use the string winder to make the process quicker. Refer to online tutorials or a professional for detailed string changing instructions.

5.3 Regolazione dell'azione

The 'action' refers to the height of the strings above the fretboard. If the action is too high, it can be difficult to press down on the strings. Adjustments to the truss rod (located in the neck) or the saddle (on the bridge) can alter the action. It is recommended to seek assistance from a qualified guitar technician for these adjustments if you are unsure.

6. Risoluzione Dei Problemi

6.1 Instabilità di sintonizzazione

New guitar strings will stretch significantly during the first few days of playing. This is normal and will cause the guitar to go out of tune frequently. Continue to re-tune the guitar before and during playing sessions until the strings settle. Ensure strings are properly seated in the tuning pegs and bridge pins.

6.2 Corde ronzanti

String buzzing can be caused by several factors, including low action, uneven frets, or improper playing technique. Check if the action is too low (strings too close to the fretboard). If the issue persists, a professional setup by a guitar technician may be required.
