6. Calibrazione
Zero calibration and Span calibration are crucial for maintaining the accuracy of your gas detector. These steps require rigorous operating conditions and should be performed by qualified professionals using necessary accessories and standard gas.
Video: This video provides a step-by-step guide on how to perform calibration for the portable gas detector, covering both zero and span calibration procedures.
6.1 Calibrazione zero
Zero calibration is performed when the reading drift is too large after stabilization, or when an alarm occurs. This ensures the device accurately reads zero concentration in a clean air environment.
- From the main menu, select "Calibrate zero" and press the ACCESO/SPENTO pulsante.
- You will be prompted to enter a password. Please contact ATO support for the password.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to expose the sensor to clean air and confirm the zero calibration.
6.2 Calibrazione dell'intervallo
Span calibration (also known as target point calibration) involves applying a standard gas of a specific known concentration to the sensor without atmospheric dilution. The calibration result should match the concentration of the standard gas.
- From the main menu, select "Calibrate span" and press the ACCESO/SPENTO pulsante.
- You will be prompted to enter a password. Please contact ATO support for the password.
- Connect the device to a standard gas source with a known concentration using appropriate regulators and flowmeters.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the standard gas and confirm the span calibration.
The detector must be calibrated regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability, especially before entering detection areas.
