1. Ensure the internal laterals are properly positioned at the bottom of the tank.
2. Place a small amount of water in the tank to cushion the laterals.
3. Carefully add the recommended amount of pea gravel (approximately 50-75 lbs) to cover the laterals.
4. Slowly add the filter sand (approximately 250-275 lbs) into the tank. Distribute it evenly.
5. Ensure the standpipe is centered during sand addition.

The multi-port backwash valve is sold separately. Compatible valves include models 261173, 261049, 261050, 261055 e 263064.

1. Clean the threads of the filter tank opening and the valve.
2. Apply a suitable sealant to the valve threads.

4. Connect the plumbing from the pump to the "PUMP" port on the valve and the plumbing leading back to the pool to the "RETURN" port. The "WASTE" port should be connected to a suitable drain or waste line.
