3. Istruzioni per l'installazione

  1. 3.1. Wash Components

    Before first use, hand-wash the pitcher, lid, and reservoir with mild soap and cold water. Do not wash the Brita Elite filter with soap.

  2. 3.2. Prepare the Brita Elite Filter

    Rinse the Brita Elite filter under cold tap water for 15 seconds. This helps remove any loose carbon dust.

    Align the groove on the filter with the ridge in the pitcher's reservoir. Insert the filter firmly by pressing down until it clicks into place. A secure fit is essential for proper filtration.

  4. 3.4. Initial Fills

    Fill the reservoir with cold tap water. Allow the water to filter through to the main pitcher. For optimal performance, discard the first three full pitchers of filtered water. This primes the filter and removes any remaining carbon dust.

    Open the easy-fill lid and fill the reservoir with cold tap water. The 10-cup capacity allows for ample filtered water. The pitcher is designed to fit conveniently in most refrigerator doors.

  3. 4.3. SmartLight Filter Indicator

    The Brita SmartLight indicator on the lid tracks filter life based on usage, not just time. It will flash green when the filter is working optimally. As the filter approaches the end of its life, the light will change to yellow, indicating it's time to consider a replacement. When the light turns red, it's time to replace the filter for continued optimal performance.

5. Manutenzione

5.1. Sostituzione del filtro

The Brita Elite filter is designed to last approximately 120 gallons or about 6 months, based on average family usage. The SmartLight indicator will signal when a replacement is needed.

  1. Remove the old filter by pulling it straight up from the reservoir.
  2. Prepare the new Brita Elite filter by rinsing it under cold tap water for 15 seconds.
  3. Insert the new filter firmly into the reservoir until it clicks into place.
  4. Reset the SmartLight indicator by pressing and holding the button on the lid for a few seconds until it flashes green.
  5. Discard the first three full pitchers of filtered water from the new filter to prime it.

5.2. Cleaning the Pitcher

The pitcher (excluding the filter) should be hand-washed regularly with mild detergent and cold water. Do not place the pitcher or lid in the dishwasher, as high heat can cause warping or damage.
