The Sencor SES 4050SS is a semi-automatic espresso machine designed to prepare high-quality espresso, cappuccino, and latte. It features a 20 bar pump pressure, a 1.4-liter water tank, a Thermoblock heating system for fast preheating, and an integrated milk frother.

4. Configurazione iniziale

4.1 Disimballaggio

4.2 Pulizia al primo utilizzo

Before using the machine for the first time, clean all removable parts and flush the internal system:

1. Lavare il serbatoio dell'acqua, il portafiltro, i filtri e la vaschetta raccogligocce con acqua tiepida e sapone. Risciacquare abbondantemente e asciugare.
2. Riempire il serbatoio dell'acqua con acqua fresca e fredda fino al livello MAX.

4. Turn on the machine. Allow it to heat up until the indicator lights are stable.
5. Run several cycles of hot water through the coffee outlet without coffee in the portafilter.
6. Activate the steam function to flush water through the steam nozzle for a few seconds.
7. Discard the flushed water. Your machine is now ready for use.

4.3 Riempimento del serbatoio dell'acqua

1. Ensure the machine is off or unplugged.
2. Sollevare il serbatoio dell'acqua dal retro della macchina.
3. Fill with fresh, cold water up to the MAX mark. Do not use hot water or other liquids.

5.1 Preparare l'Espresso

1. Preriscaldare la macchina: Ensure the water tank is filled. Plug in the machine and press the power button. Wait for the indicator lights to stop flashing, indicating the machine is preheated.
2. Preparare il portafiltro: Selezionare il filtro desiderato (per caffè singolo o doppio) e inserirlo nel portafiltro.
3. Aggiungere caffè macinato: Fill the filter basket with finely ground espresso coffee. Use the included scoop for measurement.
4. Tamp il Caffè: Usa la tamper end of the scoop to press the coffee grounds firmly and evenly. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the filter basket.
5. Collegare il portafiltro: Insert the portafilter into the group head from the 'INSERT' position and turn it firmly to the right until it locks into the 'LOCK' position.
6. Posiziona la/le tazza/e: Place one or two preheated espresso cups on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
7. Preparare l'espresso: Press the single or double espresso button. The machine will automatically brew the selected amount of espresso and stop.
8. Rimuovere il portafiltro: After brewing, carefully turn the portafilter to the left to remove it. Be cautious as it will be hot. Discard the used coffee grounds.

5.2 Schiumare il latte

1. Preparare il latte: Riempire una brocca in acciaio inossidabile con latte freddo (con o senza lattosio) fino a poco sotto il beccuccio.
2. Attiva Steam: Press the steam button on the control panel. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate steadily, indicating the machine is ready to produce steam.
3. Spurgo lancia vapore: Position the steam nozzle over the drip tray and briefly open the steam valve to release any condensed water. Close the valve.
4. Latte schiumato: Immerse the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve. Move the pitcher up and down gently to create foam. Once desired texture and temperature are reached, close the steam valve and remove the pitcher.
5. Pulisci la lancia del vapore: Pulire immediatamente l'ugello del vapore con un pannoamp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam valve again to clear any milk from inside the nozzle.

1. Utilizzare una soluzione decalcificante commerciale specificatamente studiata per le macchine da caffè espresso, seguendo le istruzioni del produttore.
2. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution mixed with water as directed.
3. Posizionare un contenitore capiente sotto l'erogatore del caffè e l'ugello del vapore.
4. Run the descaling solution through the machine by activating the espresso and steam functions until the tank is empty.
5. Sciacquare accuratamente il serbatoio dell'acqua e riempirlo con acqua fresca.
6. Repeat the flushing process with fresh water several times to ensure all descaling solution is removed.
