Thank you for choosing the BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your new water filter jug. Designed for style and sustainability, this jug helps you enjoy cleaner, great-tasting water by reducing substances like limescale, chlorine, microparticles, PFAS, and certain metals, herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals that may be present in tap water.
The BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug features a premium design, is made from 60% recycled glass and 50% bio-based material, and comes in plastic-free packaging. It has a total capacity of 2.5 liters, providing 1.5 liters of filtered water.

Impostare
- Disimballare i componenti: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging: the glass jug, funnel, lid with Smart Light indicator, and MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge.
- Componenti puliti: Wash the glass jug, funnel, and lid (without the Smart Light indicator) in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (max 50°C). Rinse thoroughly. The Smart Light indicator should be wiped clean with a damp stoffa; non immergerlo in acqua.
- Prepare MAXTRA PRO Filter: Remove the MAXTRA PRO filter from its protective wrapper. Submerge the filter in cold water and gently shake it to remove any air bubbles.
- Inserisci filtro: Place the funnel into the glass jug. Insert the prepared MAXTRA PRO filter into the funnel, pushing it down firmly until it clicks into place.
- Filtrazione iniziale: Fill the jug with tap water. Allow the water to filter through. Discard the first two fillings of filtered water. This primes the filter and removes any loose particles.
- Set Smart Light Indicator: After inserting the new filter, press and hold the button on the Smart Light indicator until the green light flashes three times. This resets the filter change timer.

Riempire la brocca
To fill the jug, simply open the convenient flip-top lid and pour tap water directly into the funnel. The water will automatically filter through the MAXTRA PRO cartridge into the main jug reservoir. The lid design allows for easy one-handed filling.
Smart Light LED Indicator
The Smart Light LED indicator on the lid monitors filter performance based on both time and volume of filtered water. It will signal when it's time to replace your filter:
- Luce verde: Il filtro funziona in modo ottimale.
- Luce gialla: Filter performance is decreasing; prepare for replacement soon.
- Luce rossa: Filter needs to be replaced immediately to ensure optimal filtration.

Manutenzione
Sostituzione del filtro
For optimal performance and hygiene, replace your MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge every 4 weeks or after filtering approximately 150 liters of water, whichever comes first. The Smart Light indicator will signal when replacement is due.
- Remove the lid and funnel from the jug.
- Pull the used MAXTRA PRO filter upwards to remove it from the funnel.
- Prepare a new MAXTRA PRO filter as described in the Setup section (Step 3).
- Insert the new filter into the funnel, pushing it down firmly until it clicks into place.
- Reassemble the jug and lid.
- Reset the Smart Light indicator by pressing and holding the button until the green light flashes three times.

Pulizia della brocca
The glass jug and funnel are dishwasher-safe (max 50°C). The lid, with its electronic Smart Light indicator, should be cleaned by hand with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the lid in water or wash it in a dishwasher.

- Filtrazione lenta: If water filters slowly, ensure the filter is correctly seated in the funnel. If the filter is old, it may be clogged and require replacement.
- Smart Light Not Working: Check if the lid is properly closed. If the issue persists after resetting, the battery for the Smart Light may need replacement (refer to BRITA support for battery information).
- Unusual Water Taste: Ensure the filter was properly primed by discarding the first two fillings. If the taste persists, replace the filter. Ensure the jug is cleaned regularly.
