Configurazione e installazione
1. Scarica l'app meross
Before beginning installation, download the official meross app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app is essential for device setup, configuration, and management.
2. Power On the Smart WiFi Hub
Connect the meross Smart WiFi Hub to a power outlet using the provided power adapter (if applicable, or ensure it's powered on if battery-operated). Wait for the indicator light on the hub to show it's ready for pairing (refer to the hub's specific LED indicator guide for details).

3. Add the Hub to the meross App
- Open the meross app and create an account or log in.
- Tocca l'icona "+" per aggiungere un nuovo dispositivo.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Smart WiFi Hub to your home Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup.
4. Install the Door/Window Sensor
The sensor consists of two parts: a main sensor and a smaller magnetic sub-sensor. They must be installed in close proximity to each other, typically on a door/window frame and the moving part of the door/window, with a gap of no more than 1 cm when closed.
- Identify the desired location for installation (e.g., door, window, cabinet, fridge).
- Clean the surface thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion of the mounting tape.
- Peel the backing from the strong mounting tape on both the main sensor and the sub-sensor.
- Attach the main sensor to the fixed frame and the sub-sensor to the moving part (door/window) so that they align perfectly when the door/window is closed. The small alignment mark on both parts should face each other.
- Press firmly for several seconds to secure the sensors.

5. Add the Sensor to the meross App
Once the hub is connected, you can add the MS200 sensor to it. The meross app will guide you through the process of pairing the sensor with the hub. Ensure the sensor is within range of the hub.

Dati storici
The meross app stores up to 2 years of historical data, allowing you to review past open/close events. This feature is useful for security checking and understanding usage patterns.

Domotica
Leverage the sensor to create smart home automations. You can set up triggers within the meross app or integrated smart home platforms (HomeKit, Alexa, SmartThings) to control other devices based on the sensor's status. For example, turn on a light when a door opens.

Figure 7: A visual representation of the meross sensor's integration with Apple HomeKit, showing how to set up an automation to turn on a light when the sensor detects an open event. Note: Using this feature in the Apple Home App requires a HomePod or iPad in the home as a Bridge.
Controllo vocale
For hands-free operation, use voice commands with compatible smart assistants like Siri (via Apple HomeKit). Simply ask Siri to check the status of your door or window sensor.
