Introduzione
The Z-Flash OBD Plugin Flasher Switch Module is a plug-and-play device designed for select vehicles (Ford, Dodge/Jeep/Ram, GM, etc.) that connects via the OBD-II port. It allows the user to flash various factory exterior lights (headlights, fog lights, turn signals, reverse lights, etc.) with customizable flash patterns, without modifying the vehicle’s wiring or ECU. A switch and hardwire cable are included so you can trigger the module manually or integrate it into your existing controls.

INSTALLAZIONE DEL MODULO OBD-II

1. Connect the module to the vehicle’s OBD-II port. The OBD-II port is located under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
2. Avvia il veicolo.
3. The module will begin to boot, and the LED will flash for 5 seconds.
4. When the module is ready for us, the green LED will flash for 5 seconds and then turn off.
5. If you need to disconnect the module and plug it back in, you will need to follow the boot sequence again.

1. Remove the push pins holding the passenger side carpet silencer panel in place.
2. Remove both connectors plugged into the security gateway module.

1. Remove the panel to access under the dash.
2. You can remove the 3 screws and remove the entire module. Or reach your hand behind and remove the plugs from the module.

This harness prevents you from having to access the security gateway and install a Gateway Bypass Module on the 2018 Ram 1500, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Classic and 2018-2020 2500-5500 Rams. Once your T-Harness is installed, you will not need a Z-Flash Gateway Bypass Module. The T-Harness does not need to be removed when getting the vehicle serviced. The T-Harness also acts as a splitter and leaves room for an additional OBD-II device to be connected to the vehicle.

1. Using the two clips on the side of the OBD-II port, squeeze and push the port forward to push it out of the holder.
2. Connect the Z-Flash to the T-Harness OBD-II port where the green and white plugs are.
3. Connect the female end of the T-Harness into the vehicle’s OBD-II port that you removed in step 1.
4. Connect the white plug from the T-Harness into the green Star Board located up and under the driver’s side dashboard near the OBD-II port. If you have multiple green Star Boards, then you will need to use the one with the white plugs and yellow wires. You can use an..y
5. The last OBD-II plug on the T-Harness can be put back into the vehicle’s OBD-II holder, where you removed the OBD-II port in step 1.

The Z-Flash T-Harness will work with the 2018-2020 Dodge Challenger. This harness prevents you from having to access the security gateway and install a Gateway Bypass Module. Once your T-Harness is installed, you will not need a Z-Flash Gateway Bypass Module. The T-Harness does not need to be removed when getting the vehicle serviced. The T-Harness also acts as a splitter and leaves room for an additional OBD-II device to be connected to the vehicle.

1. Using the two clips on the side of the OBD-II port, squeeze and push the port forward to push it out of the holder.
2. Connect the Z-Flash to the T- T-T-Harness OBD-II port where the white plug exits from.
3. Connect the female end of the T-Harness into the vehicle’s OBD-II port that you removed in step 1.
4. Connect the white plug from the T-Harness to the green Star Board. For the 2018-2020  Dodge Challengers, the Star Board is located on the passenger’s side to the right of the glove box. If you have multiple green Star Boards,s then you will need to use the one with the white plugs and yellow wires. You can use any open port.
5. The last OBD-II plug on the T-harness can  be put back into the vehicle’s OBD-II holder,r where you removed the OBD-II port from in step 1

The module requires no external switches and can be activated with the high beam stalk.

1. Pull the high beam stalk back for 5 seconds to activate it. You’ll know it’s turned on when the high beam indicator is active on the dashboard. If your vehicle is equipped with a dashboard screen, it will display the Z-Flash pattern that you are currently using in the place where your radio normally displays.
2. To turn it off, pull the high beam stalk for two seconds.

1. To change the pattern, press both the left arrow andthe cancel button simultaneously. (For 2011-2014 Chargers, use the back button and cancel button simultaneously)
2. The flash pattern will be displayed on the dashboard if your dashboard screen is set to view la radio.

How to Change Pattern Speed:

1. To increase the speed of the pattern, push the high beam stalk forward and lift (like signalling you are turning right). Do this 2 more times to reach the maximum speed.
2. To decrease the speed of the pattern, push the high beam stalk forward and push down (like signalling you are turning left). Do this 2 more times to reach the slowest speed.

Quick Start Activation:

1. When entering the vehicle, le pull the high beam stalk back while starting the vehicle.
2. The lights will immediately turn on when the vehicle starts

• Conformità legale: Flashing lights may be tightly regulated in many jurisdictions. What’s allowed for emergency vehicles may not be legal for civilian or non-emergency use. Always check local laws regarding the use of flashing or strobing lights.
• Evita il sovraccarico: Since the module uses factory lighting circuits, ensure the bulbs and circuits are rated and healthy. Weak or faulty bulbs or connections can dazzle or distract, or cause electrical issues.
• Install in Dry & Secure Location: The module is usually meant to be inside the cabin (safe from water, dust, etc.). Don’t install it where moisture or heat could damage it. Some versions are not waterproof.
• Ensure Wiring is Secure: Switch wiring and the module’s wiring should be safely routed to avoid contact with moving parts, sharp edges, or surfaces that heat up. Use mounting strips and secure the parts to avoid vibration damage.
• Prioritise Safety Signals: The module is designed so that brake signals and turn signals (important safety signals) override flashing patterns. Do not disable this override. Using flashing modes should not compromise visibility for other drivers.

Using diagnostic signals, the module tells the vehicle to activate the respective lights. The module does not rewrite computer code or affect the vehicle. The codes are the same that the dealer could use to diagnose your vehicle.

Like any headlight/taillight flasher,r it will burn out your bulbs faster than normal. Aftermarket HIDs will burn up very quickly because the ballasts are not intended to flash.

Is the module traceable?

Once removed, the module does not leave any trace of being installed. For the 2018-2019 model year, rs be sure to remove the gateway module and reconnect the vehicle's security module before attempting to connect an OBD-II scanner or before having the vehicle serviced. Leaving the gateway module installed will prevent an OBD-II scanner from operating properly.

Does the Z-FIash work with aftern-tarket bulbs?

Yes, but some low quality aftermarket HIDs and LEDs will burn up very quickly because the ballasts are not intended to flash.

Will my trailer lights flash?

Trailer lights should only flash if they're using an aftermarket trailer wiring harness. If it's the factory tow kit, in most cases it wouldnt flash as those are commanded separately.

Will my plow lights flash?

Yes, most plow lights will flash provided they are wired to your vehicle's headlights.
