INFORMAZIONI SU QNET7
- QNET7 è uno switch Ethernet di livello 2 con sette porte progettato da zero per garantire prestazioni audio di alto livello e un funzionamento a bassissimo rumore.
- La maggior parte degli switch audiofili sul mercato prende uno switch di livello consumer esistente e ne migliora alcune parti, in genere l'alimentatore e il clock. Sebbene questo approccio produca certamente prestazioni migliori, non si avvicina ai risultati ottenuti da un progetto concepito fin dall'inizio per trasmettere e ricevere segnali ad alta velocità.
Che tu trasmetta musica e/o video in streaming da un server locale, dal tuo NAS o da Internet, QNET7 offrirà una gamma dinamica più ampia, aggiungendo estensione, chiarezza e rendendo il suono della musica più fluido e realistico, con un rumore di fondo molto più basso, facendo risaltare voci e strumenti su uno sfondo molto più silenzioso.
POSIZIONAMENTO
Posizionare il QNET7, preferibilmente su uno scaffale, in modo che resti in piedi da solo, con le prese d'aria sempre libere. Non posizionare il QNET7 vicino ad apparecchiature che generano calore significativo o in condizioni ambientali che superano i 100 °C (38 °F) di temperatura o l'80% di umidità.
Per prestazioni ottimali con controllo della risonanza, aggiorna il QNET7 con il supporto QRT Stand Mount e i Sort Kones di Nordost.
ACCENSIONE
Plug in the provided DC power supply to power your QNET7.
As long as the QNET7 is powered on, it is always operational. To turn it off, unplug the power cord or detach the power supply from the wall.
Nota: The QNET7’s power supply is not interchangeable with the standard QNET power supply.
Per ottenere risultati ottimali, questo alimentatore standard può essere aggiornato con il QSOURCE di Nordost.
Per alimentare il QNET7 con un QSOURCE, assicurarsi innanzitutto che entrambi i dispositivi siano spenti, quindi impostare l'uscita variabile "A" sul QSOURCE su 9 V tramite l'interruttore inferiore.

CONNESSIONE
Sul retro del QNET7 sono presenti 7 porte Ethernet numerate.
- Porti 1-5 are auto-negotiated, 1000BASE-T (1 Gbps) capable. Your input (router) and any other generic network devices (including NAS drives) should be connected to these ports for best connectivity.
- Porta 6 is auto-negotiated, 100BASE-TX (100 Mbps) capable. It is optimized for audio performance. For Port 6, layer 1 and 2 functionalities are further separated into dedicated circuits, allowing for even better noise control and overall performance. Connect the unit that is processing audio downstream from the switch to Port 6 (typically a streamer, or a server/DAC).
- Porti 7 is compatible with 1000BASE-T (IEEE 802.3ab) and 1000BASE-X (LX/SX 802.3z-1998 [CL38] only) SFP transceivers/modules. By attaching external, compatible modules, Port 7 can… be used as an extra RJ-45 port (to connect a router or NAS drive) or as an optical port.
It is highly recommended that, when using pairs of external modules, they are identical at both… ends of the cable that is being used. Multi-mode and single-mode fibers can be used depending on the chosen module. Please refer to the module’s documentation to determine the best choice of optical medium and connectors.
Also note that Port 7 does not support SFP+ modules and supports fixed 1 Gbps 1000BASE-T copper modules only. Modules labeled “10/100/1000BASE-T” are unlikely to work.

INDICATORI LED
- Per le porte 1-5, gli indicatori LED sul retro lampeggeranno in verde se viene stabilita una connessione a 1 Gbps, in arancione a 100 Mbps ed entrambi a 10 Mbps.
- Per la porta 6, gli indicatori LED sul retro lampeggeranno in arancione quando la connessione è a 100 Mbps o 10 Mbps.
- Per la porta 7 (SFP), l'indicatore LED sul retro si illuminerà di blu fisso quando viene stabilita una connessione. Si noti che sul mercato è disponibile un'ampia varietà di moduli e alcuni di essi attivano l'accensione del LED semplicemente inserendoli nella porta SFP.
